Hi! It’s John and Lindsey from Our Messy Table and we are so glad to be back with you on Craftaholics Anonymous today sharing our Stay Awhile: Guest Hospitality Cart!
Stay Awhile: Guest Hospitality Cart
We absolutely love to host and have guests in our home. Having guests usually inspires some major cleaning and a redecorating kick, but it also gives John and I the chance to show the people in our lives how much we care by welcoming them into our home and making their stay more comfortable with a cart filled with goodies.
The first thing I knew I wanted in this cart was a wifi password sign! Every time someone comes over they always ask what our wifi password is and every time I look at them with a blank look on my face! Geezzz! Why is that so hard for me to remember? We actually have a guest staying with us right now for a month and he already complimented the sign! (yay!)
This is the fun part! I filled this cute basket with m&m’s (our guest’s candy of choice), toothbrush, brand new razor, bobby pins, hair ties, dry shampoo, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, cotton pads, q-tips, floss, and beauty samples of moisturizer and face wash. I save all the beauty and free samples I get throughout the year and use them to fill the basket each time a guest comes to stay. I love that it adds a special touch to the cart and is great in case they forgot to pack something!
I added a mason jar of fresh flowers and a chalkboard sign that says “help yourself,” so our guests know that everything on the cart is for them, if they need or want it.
On the bottom drawer of the cart, I filled it with fresh towels, a brand new bar of soap, and bottles of water. (It is always so awkward when you get thirsty in the middle of the night and don’t want to wake the house up trying to stumble around to find a glass to get some water.) This has happened to me before, so I always include water bottles for my guests now. LOL!
We would love to see your guest welcome carts.Use #OMThome so we can follow along!
