St. Patrick’s Day Lunch Treat
Hi, it’s Vanessa from Tried & True and I’m back with another fun project for your kids! I love everything about St. Patrick’s Day…the shamrocks, the rainbows, the pinching! Since my boys are 1/4 Irish, it’s also a great opportunity to talk about the important role Ireland played in their family and heritage.
We usually do a large themed dinner as a family but since St. Patrick’s Day falls on a school day this year, I thought it would be fun to send my boys off with a little St. Patrick’s Day Lunch treat!
Interested in making some of your own? It’s super easy! Just print out the St. Patrick’s Day Lunch Treat Free Printable and trim around the edges. Use a craft knife and metal ruler to make a slit where the rainbow meets the pot.
Apply glue to the back of the card, taking care not to get any glue where the gold coin will be inserted. I used a Jumbo Zig Glue Pen to make it super easy! Apply printable to a 4.25×5.5 piece of green cardstock.
All that’s left to do is insert your chocolate gold coin and sneak it into your kids’ lunch! If you’re having a hard time getting your coin in, just make the slit a little bit larger. I hope you have a great St. Patrick’s Day and your kids enjoy their little treat!
What St. Patrick’s Day traditions do you have? What fun things do you for St. Patrick’s Day?
