Valentine Mantel
In my opinion, Valentine’s Day is like the best holiday ever! Ok, so having my birthday on Valentine’s Day might have something to do with that. But still. I think its wonderful to have a holiday to celebrate those around you who you love! Here is my Valentine Mantel for this year. Its drastically different from last year’s Valentine’s Day mantel! This year I went more classic Valentine’s Day style with red and hearts….Of course I had to throw in some pattern play with polka dots and chevron though!
Recognize these beauties? Yep, I snagged these swirl wood trees at Target’s after Christmas sale for 50% off! I think they work perfect as Valentine decor! One of my favorite things to do is shop after Christmas sales for red/pink items that can be used for Valentine’s Day Decorations and crafts. Who cares if they have a ‘Christmas label’ on the bottom?!
I’m not crazy about the brown stone around our fireplace, but hey, its a fireplace so I’m not complaining! We’re supposed to be getting a bunch of snow here in Virginia today and tomorrow so we’ll be snuggled up next to it trying to stay warm. Aaaaand admiring my Valentine Mantel while we’re at it. haha.
Valentine Wreath
I made this simple Valentine Wreath as part of my Mantelscape. I used black and white chevron burlap to wrap the wreath form. Then I used my hot glue gun to gather strips of red burlap into burlap flowers. Stick on some layered felt hearts {from Target dollar section}, a mini chalkboard bunting affixed with bakers twine and a big red and white polka dot wreath and you have one of the most festive Valentine’s Day wreaths you’ve ever seen!
Love a good looking wreath that doesn’t break the bank or take a million hours to make. This is definitely one of those wreaths!
So that is my Valentine Mantel for this year! If you enjoyed it, please share it!

I really like your mantel and the fact that you used low priced Christmas items. I also found a couple of red felt hearts with snowflakes embroidered on them at Lowes. I hung one on each of the lamps in my living room and added 2 felt snowmen to the other parts of the lamp. Valentine/Winter festive! I also made a paper heart wreath which I use on our dining table around a candle. Thanks for letting me share my meager decorating ideas.
Awesome, Sue! Red felt hearts are a classic! Fun that you combined winter and V-day. Clever! Thanks for stopping by! :)
Linda love your mantel. I also have a February birthday….the 16th is mine for me! Crafty people have the best birthdays! Hope yours is great!
Thank you, Sheila! Happy early birthday to you! And I totally agree ;)
So cute! Perfect timing I’m putting up my valentines mantle today. My goal is to not spend 1 penny I’m only using items I already have or make new things with what I already have. Thanks for the tree ideas I may have something like that.
Awesome, Kassie! Definitely check your Christmas decor for your Valentine Mantel. You may be surprised what awesome Valentine decor you had in there. ;)
Love the wreath. I would love to know how you did the red bow. I try to make mine look like that and always fail.
Thanks, Amy! After tying the bow, I twisted the loops a little to soften them and then sort of “fluffed” them. {if that makes any sense! maybe I should do a video on it?}
Makes senses but a video would be amazing.
love your mantel thinks its super romantic
Thank you! :)
Lovely Valentine’s Mantle! I love your red trees, what great finds. What a cute chalkboard bunting on your wreath! And Happy early Birthday!
