Happy happy Monday! I don’t usually get excited about Mondays….But I couldn’t wait for today so I could show you my Halloween Mantel! I think I’m one of the last bloggers to get their mantel decorated for Halloween this year. Don’t get me wrong, I have been doing all sorts of Halloween crafts! I just didn’t get the mantel done….Until this weekend! Check it out…
Halloween Mantel
Welcome to my Halloween Mantel for 2012! I had loads of fun with color, stripes, and polka dots! {seriously, can you ever go wrong with those? haha} I did several small Halloween crafts for it. {tutorials tomorrow, so stay tuned!}
You may recognize a couple Halloween crafts from last year….Halloween fabric banner and 2×4 Mummies. And a couple of this year’s Halloween Crafts….Green DIY Apothecary Jar, Apothecary Jars with custom labels. and Boo bucket. I used my Silhouette Cameo to make several of these items.
I whipped out a simple polka dot glitter pumpkin {that’s one of the tutorials on the agenda for tomorrow} Put it on a pedestal candle stick and layer a pumpkin on top. perfect.
Love chalkboard! So I added some chalkboard paint to a paper mache skull for a fun skull craft.
This adorable Halloween rag banner was from last year. I love all the colors and different fun fabrics in it. It has both the polka dots and the stripes in it, so it complimented my Halloween Mantel very nicely.
That’s a quick run down on my mantel. I’ll be posting a couple Halloween craft tutorials tomorrow for some of the crafts featured on my Halloween Mantel, so stay tuned!
Is your home decorated for Halloween?
happy crafting,
Linda

Very cute! Love it, Linda!
Oh man, I love that fabric strip garland! That’s so cute and colorful! I’m going to have to keep this in mind; that would be a great way to make a Valentine’s Day garland from white, pink, and red fabric scraps. Thanks for the idea!
My mantle is decorated the same as last year: http://fergusonfamilyfour.blogspot.com/2011/10/my-halloween-mantle.html. I am working on a quilt and some Christmas crafts right now, so I haven’t had time to add anything new this year. I’d eventually like to have a garland running up my staircase…maybe I’ll make your fabric one for that. Hobby Lobby has some really cute Halloween fabrics this year.
LOVE the colors! And love that rag banner. What a fun mantle!
Thank you, Erin!! I’m so glad you stopped by today!

Love the garland & the polka dot pumpkin. Too fun!!!
The garland is so fun and bright.
I’m working on my Halloween/Fall mantel. This is the first time I have a mantel for the holiday (we finally installed on in January) and I’ve got practically nothing it seems. Well, actually, I just don’t have anything really. And what I do have, I can’t figure out how to use. Plus banners….how in the world do you get yours to stay without pinning to the mantel or something (mind you, my mantel is installed on brick and so I don’t want to drill additional holes into the brick or the mantel to hold a banner….
Adorable!
I LOVE the tree, where did you get that? Also, that rag banner is awesome :)
Can’t wait for those tutorials tomorrow!
Thanks, Jen! I’m so glad you stopped by today!
