Today did not feel like fall here in Virginia, but I’m sure ready for it! Here’s a simple Farmhouse Fall Wreath tutorial I know you’ll love.
This post is brought to you in by Michaels.
DIY Farmhouse Fall Wreath
Texture + pumpkins + classic ticking = A Pretty Fall Wreath with a Farmhouse feel. Embroidery Hoop Wreaths have been my jam lately. Loving the modern vibe they have. What do you think? You either love them or hate them!
And see that adorable little wood mushroom? Totally fell in love when I saw it!
I heart ticking stripe fabric. Seriously. Then add a wood ball and its a match made in crafting heaven. ha!

Supplies:
- 14″ wood embroidery hoop
- ticking fabric from Hancock Fabrics at Michaels
- hemp twine
- batting or felt
- 2 fall ball picks
- 5 – 1″ wood balls
- chalkboard discs and chalk
- faux leaves
- hot glue gun
- ribbon for hanging {optional}
- Wrap hemp twine around two thirds of the embroidery hoop and secure with hot glue.
2. Cut five 8″ square pieces of ticking fabric. Lay face side down, place batting in center and wrap the fabric around the batting to form a round, pumpkin-like shape and hot glue edges to hold shape.
3. Then hot glue a leaf and a wood ball on top to conceal edges and create a pumpkin look. Repeat until you have 5 total pumpkins.
4. Glue the 2 fall picks and 5 pumpkins to the embroidery hoop.
5. Using chalk, write on chalkboard discs the word, ‘FALL’ and then glue discs to hemp twine to create a mini banner.
6. Tie mini chalkboard banner across the top of the wreath and trim ends of twine, if needed.
7. Hang with ribbon, if desired. Or can just hang it on a hook.
Love my new DIY Fall Wreath!
