Ready or not, Valentine’s Day is ONE MONTH away! Yay! Valentine’s Day is a favorite holiday around our home {its my b-day!!}, so I take decorating for it very seriously. This year I created this cool Rustic Double Valentine Wreath for my DIY Valentine Mantle and I am seriously obsessed with how awesome it turned out! Check out my DIY Valentine Wreath!
Double Valentine Wreath
Isn’t it lovely? Its probably my favorite wreath to date that I’ve made. And I’ve made a TON of wreaths! After doing a Rustic Christmas Tree this year and switching my home decor to have a more industrial/farmhouse vibe, I naturally wanted a Valentine Mantle with the perfect Rustic Valentine Wreath. And this Double Valentine Wreath fits the bill perfectly!!
Of course I added some green boxwood elements! Living in the south for the past 8 years has made me fall in love with everything boxwood. Its sorta kinda all over my house!
As you can see from my picture on Instagram a couple days ago, I had fun created some felt flowers to add a punch of pretty to my Valentine Wreath!
How to Make Double Valentine Wreath Tutorial
Step 1: Gather supplies.
- Hot Glue Gun
- 18″ Round Styrofoam Wreath form
- 13.8″ Round Styrofoam Wreath form
- Red Spray paint
- 1 roll Red Burlap ribbon
- 1 roll Red Buffalo Check Burlap ribbon {found here}
- Wood XOXO sign {found at Hobby Lobby}
- Jute Ribbon
- Faux Fern stems
- Felt: Red, Cream, Dark Red, Black
Step 2. Spray paint both styrofoam wreaths red. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Step 3. Wrap the red burlap ribbon around the large styrofoam wreath using hot glue to secure in place. Wrap the red buffalo check burlap around the smaller styrofoam wreath, securing with hot glue as well. Set wreath forms aside.
Step 4. Cut the tips off the faux ferns and hot glue 6 pieces of them onto the XOXO sign as shown.
Step 5. Make 3 felt flowers using the felt. Make them in 3 sizes- small, medium, and large. Hot glue over the ferns.
Step 6. {not pictured} Layer the red wreath, the buffalo check wreath in the middle. Then hot glue the XOXO sign on top of the 2 burlap covered wreaths. Then hang with jute ribbon.
I’m loving the details of this Valentine’s Day wreath!
