I LOVE sweet and salty treats! They are my weakness, for sure! Other than Lucky Licorice. I like that a lot too. If you like licorice, you have to try it!! Most amazing licorice in the history of ever. #truth. I digress. I was into Pumpkin Pretzels this fall and now that its Christmas time, its time to bust out the Peppermint Pretzels recipe!!
Peppermint Pretzels
Oh my goodness!! My mouth is watering just writing about these yummy pretzels! They melt in your mouth with the right amount of Peppermint-y-ness and end with an amazing salty -sweet crunch. AMAZEBALLS right there, friends! And the pink color reminds of that vintage Christmas pink that we’ve been seeing everywhere this year. I tell you, you just HAVE to make these!
Ok, so I decided we’d hand out these addicting Peppermint Pretzels to our friends and neighbors for Christmas this year. {if you are my friend or neighbor and reading this and do not have yours yet, I just started making them yesterday! We are hoping to deliver then later this week! xo :)
I kinda love that the packaging I put together makes it look like a little Christmas tree! Isn’t that cute?!
These Pretzels with peppermint candy coating and crushed candy canes are the perfect holiday treat!
Peppermint Pretzels Recipe
24 oz White Candy Coating
1 1/2 cup Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips
20 oz Flat Pretzels {I opted for the flat surface so there’s more surface space which = more peppermint yumminess!}
6 Crushed Candy Canes {optional}
- Put Candy Coating and Peppermint Chips in large microwave safe bowl.
2. Microwave on High for 2-2.5 minutes, stopping to stir at 1 minute and again at 2 minutes. The consistency should be smooth and creamy.
3. Dump in Flat Pretzels and stir somewhat carefully until all pretzels are evenly coated.
4. Pour pretzels onto Parchment Paper and spread them out so they are in a single layer. Then sprinkle crushed candy canes on top while coating is still wet. {It takes about 20 minutes for the coating to harden.}
Then package it up and hand it out! Everyone will love it!
