As you can probably guess, we have a huge Dinosaur Train fan here! This little guy loves dinosaurs and had so much fun helping me pick out which dino to put on his shirt and what fabric to use. {its not a “spikey dinosaur”, its a “Stegosaurus”. ahem}

I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out the fabric dino and then I sewed it onto a plain white t-shirt with my sewing machine. It was really easy to do and I love that using a CAMEO makes it easy to get unique appliques. For a tutorial on how to cut fabric with a Silhouette CAMEO, click here.
New Silhouette Products
Dust Cover: They made a snug, lightweight dust cover that you can slip on and off your CAMEO to protect it while its not in use.
Fabric Cutting Blade: you know how you have fabric scissors and paper scissors because cutting paper dulls them? Well, the same concept applies to Silhouette blades. Silhouette has a new blue Fabric Blade so that its easy to distinguish which blade is for cutting fabric and which blade is for cutting paper.
Specialty Media: Silhouette now has Double Sided Adhesive, Printable Gold/Silver Foil, Printable white Sticker paper, and Adhesive Magnet paper.
Silhouette also introduced a couple new colors of vinyl and new Glitter products.

There are many things i would love to do with the cameo but i especially would love to make a tree for the livingroom wall and hang pictures from it.

It’s a toss up between vinyl and fabric for the material I would cut most with a Cameo. I would use the vinyl for glass etching and I’ve got a new sewing machine that is aching for me to try some of the new features with in regards to appliques.
