Marcy is here to show us how to make Vintage Pictures on a dime dollar.
hi. my name is Marcy(aka) a girl in a gorilla suit. i am just another mom(of 5) trying to find her creative place in this world. these past few years, i have found myself using crafts as a therapeutic tool, while facing some of the hardest challenges in my life. i am a self-proclaimed, certified NON-professional crafter who loves diet coke, m&m’s and popcorn, and usually in that order! I hope you enjoy my tutorial…
i wanted some vintage lookin’ santa pictures but i didnt want to pay a lot for them.
so i headed to the dollar store to see what i could find.
….
i spotted these gift boxes.
……
vintage lookin? yes.
picture of santa? yes.
3 for $1? triple YES!
.
..
…
once i got home with ’em i came up with this liddle idear
…
i started out by measuring and marking the bottom of the box,
right where i wanted my hole to be.
…
…
i used my pencil to poke a hole for my thumbtack.
…
…
then…because i am VERY o.c.d like things straight…i measured and marked my walls. then i stuck a thumbtack through the hole (on the bottom of the box) directly to the wall. …
…
then i slid the top of the box over the bottom part of the
then i slid the top of the box over the bottom part of the
box that was attached to the wall.
…
i repeated those steps with the other two boxes and this is how it turned out……
.
.
.
i ♥ it.
…………
3 vintage looking santa boxes pictures canvases (wink!wink!).
ALL FOR $1!
…
love it. love it. love it.
Thanks Marcy! Don’t forget to enter today’s Oh So Girly giveaway!

merry christmas.
I just found this lol and think it's great. I know it's no way near Christmas time but I was looking!
This is a great idea for any holiday or celebration. Or if you find a box pretty enough it could become a permanent picture…or you could use any box…and mod podge scrapbook/wrapping paper onto it.
Oh no…see what you started lol!!!
I also featured it on my Celebratiosn and Holidays blog.
