check out this sexy little number. mint green is so perfect for spring! and seriously, can you believe it came from this:

this halter top was perfect for going out to eat this weekend on our family “date”.
yep, that’s one of my mint green zipper daisies and it completed the look perfectly.
and just in case you’d like to make your own…..
TUTORIAL
find a knit t-shirt that you don’t mind cutting apart.
measure the middle of the front of the shirt. then cut the front panel starting under the arms at a slight angle up towards the neckline with the point of the angle in the center. *be sure not to cut the back panel!!*
next, cut the back panel straight across.
finish the edges of the top. i just sewed a 1/2″ seam around the top. do whatever you normally do.
then cut the left over sleeves and upper portion of the shirt into 2″ strips.
sew the strips together with a 1/4″ seam.
wind your bobbin with elastic thread (by hand) and thread the top with regular thread and sew down the middle of the 2″ strips.
should look like this.
now measure how much length you need to go around your neck comfortably (i put the top on to measure this) and trim off the excess. then sew in place on the center of the front at the point.
add any embellishment you want. but i highly recommend a zipper daisy ;)
**added later: i am wearing a white t-shirt underneath. it’s not part of the halter top.**
