My Craft Room: Part 2 {Inspiration Board}

as promised, here is my inspiration board for my Craft Room. {if you’re new, i moved into a house this summer with an extra bedroom that i staked claim on for my craft room…. and i’m having so much fun planning and decorating it!}

inspiration for decorating a craft room

just looking at all those pretty things together gives me shivers. LOVE the colors! it all started with the fabric. gorgeous!! and you know how much i love yellow, gray, and aqua as that has been my blog color scheme for awhile now. so it was natural that i wanted to surround myself in colors that i love and that look fabulous together. and you can never go wrong with flowers. in my book.

here’s the break down of my inspiration board:

-wall color is Graceful Gray by Behr {huge fan of Behr paint}

-fabric is Button Bloom by Waverly {very pretty line found at Joanns}

-spray paint colors are Aqua and Lagoon by Rust-Oleum {perfect for refreshing my thrift store finds like- a $3 chandelier and $3 chair}

-yellow circle mirror is from Hobby Lobby {seriously wish i lived next door to that , but alas, the closest is 1.5 hours away}

-white frame is from an antique store in Midlothian, VA {i’m pretty sure its NOT an antique…..lol but great find anyway}

and as of last night, davis is done assembling my boxes from The Original Scrapbox. YAY!

plans for this week: stencil one of the walls and arrange the furniture in the room. and if i have time, start organizing the masses of crafting supplies.

so i’m not sure how i feel about black with the color scheme above. every room needs a little black, or so something like that. buuuut, not sure if its going to fit into my bright, cheery color scheme. what do you think? should i just stick with dark grays?

    I have that fabric!! It’s my favorite fabric in the entire world! I’m afraid to use the rest of it (I bought out Joann’s stock of it) because I might never be able to buy more!

    Ohhhh I lovee these colors!! So beautiful! Maybe instead of black, you could do charcoal?! Close to black, but not quite there? Just an idea. Thanks for sharing, and God Bless!!

    Love love love these colors and the fabric! Yes, definitely dark gray over black. Oh I want to decorate my craft room now!!! It’s kinda hard though because I have very little wall space and so I’m kinda of stuck with indecision. I can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

    Love the fabric! I am partial to those same colors. I think a little bit of black might make the colors pop. I always have to have some black in the room.

    I think that a little black would still be nice. Something about just gray seems a little muted (I even do love gray), but with your colors black will look cool too!

    The gray-yellow-turquoise is such a great combo – I don’t know if black would fit in or not? Maybe more dark gray would be the way to go . . . it’s really going to be lovely! (this is my 3-year-old’s new favorite word!! Lovely, isn’t it?)

    Oh such a gorgeous color scheme – it’s gonna be so fun to craft in there! That fabric is adorable. As for colors, I’d personally stick with grey, maybe darker, and avoid black. I love black too, and I think it would look lovely as well, but I think grey would help play up the tan/grey-ish pieces of the fabric more than black would. Whichever way you go, it’s gonna be so pretty! Cannot wait to see – and I’m sure you can’t either! ;)

    Love the new blog layout too! I was excited to see it since your new [totally cute] business cards were made to match, and I am just loving it!

    Love your new header, very professional looking! That fabric is perfect for you/CA! Can’t wait for the full reveal! I’m sure I’ll be completely jealous. ;)

    Love the colors – how can you not be inspired to create when you are sitting in a room which those bright yet calming colors? I would put a dark beige or light brown instead of black :-)

    I JUST recovered a chair in this fabric for my own craft room! I love it! OOH, such a compliment to my style ;)
