Handmade Gift Exchange Winter 2011 Linky Party!

handmade gift swap on craftaholics anonymoushands down, this is my FAVORITE part of the Handmade Gift Exchange. i LOVE seeing the awesome handmade gifts you creative ladies made for each other! you ladies are so thoughtful and talented. i love it!

Why I do the Handmade Gift Exchange

i get asked this quite a bit. i’ve always been fascinated by the idea of having a pen pal. as a kid, I had several pen pals that I wrote back and forth to {via snail mail….wow i feel old} and i looked forward to each and every letter i got.  i guess i never out grew this obsession and started this exchange only a couple months after i started this blog.  i thought it would be so fun to have a “Crafty Pen Pal” of sorts. and i won’t lie, playing match maker and lining people up is fun too. my favorite emails are the ones that just rave over their crafty new friend they met through HGE. those emails make my day!

this is my 5th Handmade Gift Exchange. i can’t believe i just typed that. i had no idea this idea would catch on when i started it. each time it gets bigger and bigger. {900+ participants this time. woot!} i sincerely enjoy this exchange and look forward to it although it takes a lot of time. davis thinks i’m crazy to organize such a large exchange….but i just gently remind him i’m a craftaholic! but i am passionate about helping others meet crafters from the other side of the country, to the other side of the world.

ok, now let’s see those gifts!!!

Rules

  1. This linky party is for Handmade Gift Exchange Winter 2011 Participants ONLY. {all other links will be deleted}
  2. Please show off the gift you made and the gift you received, if possible. {I know a few of you forgot to take pics before you shipped it. That’s ok!!}
