hope you had a nice weekend! are you ready for another week full of crafts?? i am! first up i have a super easy pedestal dish that you probably remember from the November Craft Kits. i’m also going to give you more details about the different crafts found on my Harvest Mantel decor this year and then i’ll share a quick tutorial for that cute brass candlestick pedestal plate.
i love my Harvest Mantel! chocolate brown, burnt orange, muted yellow, dark red with great texture elements like sweater, twig, burlap, wood, and tile.
- felt Harvest Banner from this month’s Craft Kits. it can be a sew OR no-sew banner. take your pick :)
- Give Thanks burlap pillow from awhile back.
- Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart 12×12 vinyl and tile. with the new Silhouette Cameo, this type of project is so easy!
- my creamy white sweater pumpkin from a couple years ago, plays a lead roll in my festive autumn mantelscape. so easy to make! it requires no sewing and about 5 minutes of your time. {great craft for the kiddos to help with!} the sweater texture + color = perfect fall decoration
- Turkey, Stuffing, Gobble Till You Wobble is a classic wood + vinyl craft. made that at a church craft night awhile back.
How To Make a Pedestal Dish
Supplies:
brass candlestick {$1 at the thrift store}, cheap plate {dollar or thrift store}, spray paint, E6000
1. Spray paint both sides of plate.
2. Clean the top rim of the candlestick. Place the plate so that the bottom of the place is facing up. Apply E6000 to the candlestick rim and place on the bottom of the plate in the center. {easier said than done}
3. Leave the plate bottom side up and allow the glue to dry for a few hours. Then decorate away with it!
so that’s my fall mantelscape and a quick how to make your own pedestal dish on the cheap.

Your mantel is adorable! I have that same grapevine pumpkin…I bought it years ago, and it is one of my favorite fall things!
