Happy Tuesday! Ok Crafters, I need your help!! If you like:
- Crafting
- Free Crafting Products
- Showing off your crafts
- Giving feedback on crafting products
Then I have the perfect opportunity for you!
Craft Product Road Test
I am looking for 15 Crafters {roadies?} to receive free samples of 2 different brands of Decoupaging Medium, give the products a good “Crafting Test Drive” and then provide feedback on their experience. After the Road Test is over, I will post the results and reveal the brands that were used in the study. This will be fun to see what crafters LIKE YOU think about these products! And of course, I will feature some of the projects made by participants!
My goal is to get crafting products in YOUR hands and have YOU tell us what YOU think about them and which product YOU think is the best.
Sounds fun, right?! I sure think so!!
Here are the deets:
- I will send 15 crafters 4 bottles of Decoupaging Medium- 2 Matte and 2 Glossy for a total of 8oz. {decoupaging medium is a liquid adhesive that glues and seals paper, newspaper, fabric, etc} The bottles will be labeled with red and blue and marked Glossy or Matte.
- The 15 Craft Testers will choose either Glossy or Matte finish and then make 2 crafts using the same materials/surfaces. One craft with the red label bottle and then a second craft with the blue label bottle. Example: Craft Tester Jill selects Matte finish. She will use the red label Matte bottle to make her decoupage a wood box. She will then do a second craft and decoupage a wood picture frame with the blue label Matte bottle.
- Testers will fill out a survey about the products and give feedback about their experience with each product.
- Testers will need to take pictures of the 2 finished products and upload them to the Craft Product Road Test Flickr group and/or post them on their blog.
- All crafts must be completed and pictures uploaded no later than October 31, 2012. I know this is a tight deadline during a busy time of year, so please check your schedule BEFORE you sign up!! *If you sign up and are unable to complete the task, you will not be able to participate in future Craft Product Road Tests :(
We highly encourage Roadies to use this opportunity as a stash buster and use materials on hand!
This will be a blind test and so the brands will not be revealed until AFTER all participants have completed their evaluations. If you would like to be a Craft Road Tester for the Decoupaging Medium test, please fill out the form below. *Please note: We are looking for Crafters with all different skill levels for this Craft Product Road Test!
Applications will be accepted thru Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. Those selected to participate will be emailed on Monday, October 1, 2012.
We are no longer accepting entries for this Craft Product Road Test! Sorry!!
This is such a fun opportunity! Please share this with your crafty friends and family!
happy crafting!
Linda
Disclosure: This is NOT a sponsored post. The brands participating supplied free product for participants to test.

I hit submit twice on the form, but it doesn’t change the page… is there a way to know whether or not my information was actually submitted?
When I did it, the form disappeared and I got a message that said “Thanks for applying” Hope that helps.
well that stinks… I guess Google Chrome doesn’t like the form. I hate to do another in Firefox and submit it twice. :(
I resubmitted in firefox… hopefully I didn’t end up with 2 submissions!
So sorry you had issues with the form, Amanda! No worries if I get 2 applications. It doesn’t disqualify you or anything :)
thanks,
Linda

I was just thinking, if I want to participate in future road tests, should I still fill out this application, or will there be another opportunity to fill out an application?
Hi Teri,
Good question! I will have a new application for each Road Test. That’s too bad it doesn’t fit into your schedule! Hope we can catch you next time!

Do you have to be a blogger. I am one of your followers. I would like to be a craft tester. Is that possible?(marshabstevens@gmail.com

WHOOP! I definitely wanna do this! SO FUN!
Omgaga I wish I could I love decoupaging but I cant right now. I would love to be a next test craft dummy lol. Thanks for sharing and good luck to the crafters who make it.
Sounds like fun!
I submitted my answers for the road testing of the mod podge, but do not see my comment there, I just posted it again, if I do not see it in the comments tomorrow what should I do, It would really be nice if I am picked because My daughter and I make crafts for terminally ill children that includes alot of mod podge, she is studing to be a teacher for special needs children. We make things from hair bows, bow holders (mod podge) personalized wall and door hangers (for boys and girls) and I spy bags for both boys and girls. Please consider me for this road test. What I use now has sort of a sticky feeling to it even after over night dry time. Let me know if I need to resubmit it on the form again. Thanks Colleen Garner
Oh we put all things together for a nice care package gift for these children and send it to them in the hospital or if they are bedridden at home then to their parents.
SAme happened to me
Just submitted my application – sounds like a lot of fun!! I would love to be a part of this one. I’m a fairly new follower – how often do you do road tests like this??
Thanks!
Angela
What a fun opportunity! Thank you so much for the chance to try new products AND have fun at the same time.
Am wondering why my post is not showing up. Does that mean I am not qualified for the test
Hi Doris,
If you filled out the form and got the “Thank you for applying” message, then your application was submitted. If not, the application did not go through. Hope this helps!
