Hey! Happy Monday! If you’re looking for a free and easy activity to do with your preschoolers and toddlers this summer, here’s a fun one for you! Its perfect for warm weather fun and a breeze to clean up. Oh, and basically free!
Summer Activity for Kids
We “painted” the driveway with water! {have you done this before?} I grabbed some foam brushes from my craft room, plastic cups, water, and my favorite boys and they had a ball making all kinds of wet creations.
Ok, so they were more like blobs of wetness….but the loved it!
As you can see, the water gets dirty quickly. But have no fear, the garden hose is near!
Make it funner and have different sizes of brushes and sponges for the kids to use.
and of course, after they got bored with painting, they started playing in the water….
and exploring for bugs.
So that was a fun little craft I did with the kids. Its been so nice to get outside and enjoy the nice weather. Summer will be here before you know it!
So tell me, have you painted with water before? What fun summer activities do you like to do with your toddlers?
happy crafting, linda

We do this all the time! It is such a great activity and it keeps my little occupied for at least 30 minutes! =)
So simple…yet probably so much fun for little ones! Thanks for the idea. :)
We do this too. Another fun thing my mom let’s the grandkids do is write on her fence with chalk and then “paint” over it with water. It’s fun to see the chalk run together and gives it a different look. Spray it off with the hose and they can paint again the next day.
my daughter loves to do this…I give her a roller brush too
I do this all of the time with my little ones. Glad you could enjoy the beautiful weather with your sweet little boys!
Thanks for stopping by, Heather!
happy crafting,
