right after Memorial Day, Davis and I decided to take a spur of the moment family vaca to VA Beach before Davis started his job. since it was right after Memorial Day and in the middle of the week, the beach was eMptY. AND we got killer rates on a killer hotel. check out our room. i loved the color scheme they used. it was very nicely decorated.
and this was the view from our room. ahhhh. loved watching the sunrise on the water. too pretty.
the room totally had granite counter tops in the bathroom. yep. granite. crazy huh!
little man was scared of the waves, but enjoyed the sand.
it was so nice getting away for a couple days. we had so much fun!
where are you going for vacation this summer? if you’re going somewhere exotic, i will be VERY jealous :)

I just came back from a vacation…and my hotel was nice too with granite counter tops in the bathroom.
We are going to ride Thomas the Train for my sons third birthday. Our hotel has an indoor waterpark with HUGE waterslides. We are also going to go to a couple of amusements parks. Should be fun! ;) No place exotic though.
looks like a fun weekend get away! i am heading up to alaska on friday for ten days – i have never been there so i very excited.
Nothing like a last minute getaway! Love how empty the beach was! We were supposed to be going to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a week but the health department is saying no go on the ocean so now we are going to Galveston, TX. Not quite as cool since we've been there but hey I'll take a vacation!
LOVE that color scheme in your hotel room. Would have been right up my alley too. Hopefully headed to the beach at the end of the summer. that's all i got.

We are taking our vacation in September. We are traveling through several states to visit with family and friends! We are so looking forward to it!

No where exotic for me, and sadly probably no vacation period. :( Hubby just started a new job. But we are definitely going to have to do something either in the fall (mountains maybe?) or next summer. I love the color scheme of the hotel room also.
Since this year is our 10th Wedding Anniversary, we shooting for Italy. If we wait for friends to go, we'll go next spring but maybe we can do Vegas and the Venetian to tide us over. ha As far as our family vacation, no decisions yet. Probably several smaller trips.
