today marks Craftaholics Anonymous’s official ONE YEAR blogiversary. wow. it feels like forever ago that i sat down and typed out my first post on here. {PLEASE do not go back and read it. i didn’t know what i was doing. ok, so i still don’t know what i’m doing haha} i have a few mixed emotions about the past year. there’s been ups and few downs with blogging, but mostly ups.
one of my favorite memories is when i got my very first follower {other than friends and family}. i stalked her. seriously. i called up my friend and gushed to her about having my very first follower. She then proceeded to stalk my newest follower with me. lol. that poor girl. sigh.
a little Craftaholics Anonymous history…..
it took me 4 months to get my first 500 GFC followers. after that i gained followers quicker. i hit 1000 GFC followers by 6 months. after the first 6 months or so, i got a little burned out. my blog had become my life. i constantly thought about it and obsessed about it. and i got burned out. with Davis’s encouragement, i continued blogging, but i decided to slow down, take short breaks and post less. and to my complete amazement, my blog currently has around 7,000+ followers and subscribers. WOW!! i had no idea i would ever see numbers like that!
in this last year i have learned:
- what a linky party is
- how to take better pictures {although i am continually working on that. living in a forest doesn’t help.}
- what html code is
- learned just enough html to get by….but still have issues….
- that i never want to be a computer programer
- that i will have typos no matter how many times i reread my posts {argh}
- how to link back
- what a domain is
- that i HATE word verifications with a passion
- that mean comments really do hurt
- blogging is a lot of work

i didn’t make my one year blogiversary a big deal today because i had a huge 6 month celebration. i’m sorry there’s not a bunch of giveaways, posts, and mayhem. i wanted to keep it simple and savor the moment.
