fabric wall pocket + Silhouette Discounts!

 sorry i am posting so late today. i haven’t been feeling well and ended up getting an IV of fluids yesterday. so everything got pushed back a bit.

ANYWAYS, check out this fun pocket/organizer i made. the bunting on it turned out so adorable! i love the touch of whimsy the bunting adds to something that’s so functional. we were in dire need for something to hold our dry erase markers and eraser and other odds and ends, underneath our family calendar. and this pocket organizer fit the bill.

 i used my Silhouette SD {my partner in Crafting Crime who i have lovingly named, Oscar} to cut the different fabrics out for the bunting. and for those who may not have heard, Silhouette now cuts fabric! yes, you heard me right. it’s a dream come true for me. i have tried different ways to cut fabric with my Silhouette to no avail. so when they came out with the fabric interfacing, i was all over it! and it works fabulously too.

 Silhouette offers two different types of fabric interfacing- clean cut and sewable. i used the sewable for this project. i had planned to share the tutorial for how to use it today, but like i said earlier, this weekend did not go as planned!

i also wanted to let you in on a couple discounts Silhouette has going on right now:

  • get a Silhouette SD with one of each fabric interfacing (clean cut and sewable) and a roll of white flocked heat transfer material for $229. {$300 value!}
  • get 25% off fabric interfacing– clean cut and sewable

use promo code: CRAFT {easy enough to remember, huh?} to cash in on these killer deals! offer valid March 21-27. so don’t wait! i know the interfacing sells out quickly because it is such a hot new item! {i know i’m in love with it!}

i hope to have a tutorial written for you tomorrow on how to use the new fabric interfacing.
