Craft Room Tour with Natalie!

natalie is here today to show off her craft room! enjoy! ~linda
Hello, My name’s Natalie and I’m a reformed craftaholic! You can find me at http://natscraps6.blogspot.com/
I say reformed because I no longer keep all palpable objects you could possibly use for a craft project and have finally admitted, that my role as mother of four, leaves me with much less time to be creative. So while I still on occasion, knit the odd wonky baby cardigan, or throw together a wedding gift, I mostly keep my crafting in the paper and scissors department.
I call it “Family History” and I’m sticking to it(wink)I get together monthly with a group of extremely talented ladies to work on my “Family History” as well as my time in here, you know, working hard for my posterity.
I am thrilled to share with you all my special space. I am quite new to Craftaholics Anon but since this discovery, I am finding all manner of half finished projects hanging about my room. It is not as colorful and sparkly as some others I like to look at but it works perfectly for me and how I get things done.

I am very easily sidetracked so I decided that most of my supplies needed to be out of site. I love IKEA for storage and I used Kitchen Top Cabinets and Pax closets because they had matching doors.

This is where I hide my ribbon, paint, paper, gadgets etc.

My tote is loaded and ready to roll at a moments notice.

I have yet to find a better option for scrapbook storage than the “crop n style” cubes. I have many and they are all on wheels, so can be moved about. Even my island is totally mobile.

I love the filer cube. I have all my pre made pages in order, ready for pictures.

My brother in law made me this awesome wrapping paper holder.

I have surrounded myself with things I love, Chocolate walls, memories of my home town, soft toys and angels.

On the DIY side, I really did DIWSMM (do it while supervising my man :)We used Ikea kitchen side, cover panels as legs then attached counters, cut to fit with L brackets easy peasy.

Add a little sparkle, and that’s my space.

Oh but wait, in true urbancrafters sprawl….
I am now bleeding outside of my room but this is evidence that I actually have filled albums with my “Family History” in them.
Anyone wanna come and play?

Hi! I'm Linda, the craft addict behind Craftaholics Anonymous®, a craft blog. Crafting is cheaper than therapy, right? When I'm not DIYing something, I can be found taxiing around our 4 crazy kids or working out. Or shoe shopping... because you can never have too many shoes! Happy crafting! ♥

LOVE your space. Many of your ideas are perfect for my new & currently blank space. What did you use for the drawers of your island? Are they IKEA kitchen cabinets? file drawers? Thanks for sharing such a wonderful, creative place.

The drawers in my island are made by “cropnstyle” They are 12×12, stackable and about $50 each. I added wheels. I’ve collected them over time. I started with 6 that sat 4 at one end and 2 in the center of the other end but have recently added another 2. The top is just a piece of counter top from IKEA, in the size is comes for an island. It just sits on top but is heavy enough that it doesn’t move . Unless I shove it really hard :) Have fun with your blank canvas.
