Craft Room Monogram

February Challenge Creative

For this month’s Michaels post, we were challenged to use items from their awesome new line, Made by Me, A to Z and it’s all about personalization. I decided my craft room could use a little extra personalization! {if you haven’t seen My Craft Room reveal, check it out here!}

I love my craft paint storage, but wasn’t really loving the decoration I had on top of it. So when I came home with that fabulously rustic wood monogram G, I knew it was perfect for my craft paint box! Its the right size and totally goes well with the rustic/vintage feel of my craft room.

It really is a fabulous G! But now I’m debating because G is the first letter of my last name. Maybe I should have gotten an L for Linda instead! I’m so used to always thinking about our family monogram, that I didn’t ever think about using just my monogram. So now I am determined to go back to Michaels and find this awesome wood monogram in an L instead. That would be more fitting for my studio, I suppose. The last name monogram is more for family spaces like living rooms. I’m thinking first name monograms would be better for my only personal space, my craft room! What do you think??

I tell ya, the G looks just like a pallet wood monogram! I love how rustic it is. This collection has so much to pick from! Modern, eclectic or rustic styles with natural and finished woods, to a variety of metals, resin and patterned styles, so many possibilities.

Here’s a few more ideas of how you can use this great new line at Michaels:

The best part about crafting is putting your own spin on a project. Whether it’s decorating with marquee lights or crafting an initial that represents your family name, Michaels has made it easy with their new Alphabet Soup by Make Market™ line of products.

If you don’t know where to begin, you can always take a look at some of the fun projects on Michaels.com or the other 49 Makers’ ideas on The Glue String for to see how they personalized their crafts!
