Bluetooth Bath Fan Review

bluetooth bath fan review
Davis, my hubby, has a love/hate relationship with DIY’s around the house. He doesn’t mind doing them, but I usually have to pester him a few times before things get done. But that was not the case with this Bluetooth Bath Fan….within 2 hours of this fan arriving on my doorstep, it was being installed into the ceiling in my bathroom! Seriously. I barely had time to snap the quick Before picture below. {Hence the terrible lighting.} This was one DIY that Davis was excited about! {I had no idea! If I’d known he would be so stoked about a ceiling fan that plays music, I would have saved it for Christmas. ha!}

Homewerks Bluetooth luxury bath fan is compatible with most Bluetooth™-enabled smartphones, tables and laptops and works up to 30 feet away. After you’ve installed the fan, it will automatically connect with your Bluetooth enabled device when its within range of the speaker. The Bluetooth Bath Fan generates air movement and provides a high-quality, full speaker sound in your bathroom. It mounts seamlessly into the ceiling where your existing fan is located. This luxury fan retails for about $149. The Homewerks Bluetooth Bath fan can be found in stores and online at The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware and True Value Hardware.

PS after looking at this picture, I realized I really need to get a window treatment up in my bathroom! haha

Homewerks Bluetooth Bath Fan Review

This was our old bath fan:

Sorry for the poor lighting! I was lucky to get a before picture before Davis started installing it.

New bathroom fan installation This is a shot during the installation process. Davis had to cut a wider hole in the ceiling to fit the fan into. He said it was pretty easy to install, but didn’t like how precise the hole had to be cut. He accidentally cut the hole slightly larger than needed and had to patch a small corner. {if you look closely in the After picture below you can see what I’m talking about.}

This is the fan all installed. I like the design of it and the crisp, white color. It looks modern and updated over our old bath fan! The Bluetooth Bath Fan is easy to operate. If you flip the switch once, it turns the fan on. If you flip the switch a second time within 30 seconds of the first flip, it turns on the Bluetooth feature. My iPhone picked up the Bluetooth signal and I am able to play music from my iTunes while I get ready, shower, or clean the bathroom. My two young boys love listening to the music and dancing while I get ready! Its really cute plus it makes it easier for me to get ready. {2 and 4 year olds can get a bit needy when I’m trying to get my makeup done!}

The fan looks nice and the music feature works great and seems to have a decent speaker in it. The volume of the music can get pretty loud or it can be nice and quiet for background music. The only thing we weren’t impressed with, was the actual bath fan portion. We felt it was a bit loud, especially since the box says that it has a really quiet fan. Not sure if that was because the Bluetooth Bath Fan has a 4″ output and our home is built with only a 3″ output. That might be the reason we think its a bit louder. But other than that, we think its great and have really enjoyed it! Sometimes the boys and I go in there and have dance parties. Made our bathroom a cool place to hang out! ha!

    A review I read said they had to turn their light switch on twice each time to get the fan to work. Is it true in your case too.
