Are you ready for me to FINALLY post pictures of my new baby girl on the blog today? Yes, I have posted about Desi Jane on Instagram, {see #desijane} but I am almost done editing all her pictures. {and yes, there are many… M.A.N.Y. pictures of her to edit! haha} I kind of went nuts with the picture taking since we were not expecting a girl. {we were one of those crazy couples that waited to find out until birth. which i highly recommend!} ANYWAYS, I am finally posting the first picture of her today! More will be coming :)

Birth Announcements
I used Minted for Desi’s birth announcements and I was really impressed! Have you heard of Minted? They have a global community of indie designers that compete with each other and the community votes to determine what Minted sells. So you get the highest quality, most cutting edge designs. I will attest to this! I had such a hard time deciding between so many AWESOME designs! I loved that the quality of designs and how I could customize so many aspects of the card. You can even have your cards cut into different shapes, which is all the rage right now. I did the scallop for Desi’s.
The people over at Minted are obsessed with quality and use fine paper stock, rich inks, and crisp printing methods for all their products. The paper felt nice and the picture printed out great. I also have to add, the envelopes that are included with the announcements are nice and thick. Not the cheap ones that come from other sites! Simple things like that make a difference in my book.
Here are a few of my favorite designs. It was really hard to narrow it down to just one.
They have a new feature in the works where you can add your contact list and they’ll print the addresses on the envelopes for you. Pretty sweet, right?
Overall I was really impressed with Minted. Seriously loved the quality and variety of their designs. Their printing and shipping time was super quick. The quality was fantastic. Even the box and packaging was stellar. I was definitely pleased with Desi Jane’s birth announcements!
