well, today is davis and i’s anniversary. 7 years to be exact. and instead of eating a romantic candle light dinner at a nice restaurant, we are preparing to hole up in our home and live with only candle light and eat food storage  for who knows how long…..thanks to a lovely hurricane named, Irene! Irene is supposed to find us here in Hampton Roads tomorrow {sunday}. so today we are doing a few last minute preparations and praying for the best. davis sent those gorgeous orchids to me on friday. they’re just lovely! they will brighten our home during the gloomy storm. oh and we were going to go to a beach house in the Outer Banks for a week for our anniversary. well……that’s not going to happen now. darn irene! :P

anyways, on to funner/craftier things, i have some fabulous projects lined up for you this week while i’m gone.  i recently finished them and have been so excited to share them with you! and i have a great tutorial written that several of you asked for :) ahhh! really awesome week and i probably won’t be here! oh well. i’ll catch up with you crafters when things calm down here.

stay safe!

PS you know you’re a craftaholic when a hurricane comes and you run to the nearest craft store to grab supplies….. instead of the hardware or grocery store! true story.

Hi! I'm Linda, the craft addict behind Craftaholics Anonymous®, a craft blog. Crafting is cheaper than therapy, right? When I'm not DIYing something, I can be found taxiing around our 4 crazy kids or working out. Or shoe shopping... because you can never have too many shoes! Happy crafting! ♥

Be safe. Being here in Houston, we know all about hurricanes! And making sure you have stuff to do (crafting) is just as important as food storage so you don’t go stir crazy!

We just had 2 F3 tornados go through a town about 10 minutes away, 5 days ago. (Goderich, ont.) Family and Friends were greatly affected. Couldn’t even imagin what a hurricane scare would be like. Prayers go out to you Lynda and your family at this time.

I hope you are all safe over the next few days. I will be praying for you and the many other family affected by that angry lady Irene. Today is my anniversary as well. While we are not doing the same thing, I am not doing anything fun either. I am working. I get to celebrate my 17th anniversary while working and my hubby is home watching sports on TV – something seriously wrong with this picture!!!

today is 10 years since my hubby and I kissed for the fist time, or better known as his second birthday :)))! Happy anniversary. We have wind here that blows 160-260 km/h and no evacuation… no flying houses… no bog deal. I think that you americans should start building better stronger homes …….or move to Dalmatia!!! Greetings from Croatia
