i am so jealous of all you mommies with little girls! we went to Davis’s boss’s daughter’s birthday party this last weekend. {did you follow that?!} so i had the opportunity to craft for a 6 yr old little girl. which was a total change of pace for me with 2 small boys! i made the party girl this fab little yellow and gray rosette headband…. that i really wanted to keep it….. but didn’t.
we had to leave before she opened the presents, so i hope she liked it! {the rosettes were about 1″ wide. the pic makes them look a ton bigger!}
if you’re looking for a tutorial on how to make rosettes, check this one out.

Hi! I'm Linda, the craft addict behind Craftaholics Anonymous®, a craft blog. Crafting is cheaper than therapy, right? When I'm not DIYing something, I can be found taxiing around our 4 crazy kids or working out. Or shoe shopping... because you can never have too many shoes! Happy crafting! ♥

So cute! I’m sure she loved it! I totally get the jealousy thing too…I make as many little girl gifts as I can because boys’ stuff just isn’t as cute!
seriously! boys stuff can be cute, but it just doesn’t compare! Thanks for stopping by Kelli!

Cute!! I have 2 girls and 1 boy but it seems like I tend to lean towards making girls crafts and girls colors.
Lucky you Tonia! I’m so jealous ;o) Thanks for stopping by!

It’s soo cute! Love the colors. I have a friend that used to always tell me that she was so jealous of my “pocket stuff”, because I would always have little hair bows, rings that they would get tired of wearing, or one earring because they lost one, etc. in my pockets. She has all boys and at that time I had all girls.
Thanks Shona! I love gray and yellow too! What a funny story about your pocket stuff! lol Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there,
Just wondering if you would share how you attached these to the headband…it is SO SUPER CUTE! I am loving that gray is a popular color….it’s been a fave of mine for a long time :)
Have a good one,
Court
Hi Court,
To attach the rosettes, i hot glued them to the headband and then glued a piece of coordinating felt to the back {so that the metal headband was sandwiched in between}. then trimmed off the excess felt. if you have more questions, just let me know!

hey..love the rosettes on the headband :)..if i may ask,how did you attach the rosettes to each other?
Hi Zeina,
I hot glued the rosettes onto the headband and then hot glued felt to the back so that it sandwiched the metal headband in the middle. The felt secured them nicely.
Hope that helps!

Hi!! I just discovered the wonders of making your own headbands. I was thinking of attaching the rosettes on a 2″ lace headband. Do i just glue the rosettes or. Still use felt to sandwich the lace between the rosette & felt? Should the felt be as wide as the lace? Thanks :)
Hi Maggie,
I like to use felt to sandwich the headband. I feel its more sturdy, please its softer on their little heads than the glue :) Thanks for stopping by! Have fun with those headbands!
