Happy Wednesday! So my friend, Amanda, who lives in Richmond, asked me to help plan her twins’ first birthday party with a Winter ONEderland theme. Amanda and I had fun tossing ideas back and forth for several months and here is the adorable Winter ONEderland party we designed for her little cuties!
Winter ONEderland
Party colors were red, dark turquoise, white, and green. We’ll start with the entrance.
For Amanda’s front door, I turned a cheap $5 mirror into a chalkboard to welcome guests at the front door. And oh course, the frame had to change colors too! A little detail that turquoise spray paint can always fix. {and isn’t Amanda’s front door awesome?! I think its a really cool door.}
Winter Wreath
Remember my Pearl Wreath? I added some removable embellishments to turn it into a winter wreath with the party colors. I found some cheap glitter snowflakes at the craft store on Christmas clearance that were perfect for this wreath.
Party Food
Check out the spread of food Amanda put together! She had chicken salad sandwiches, a cheese ball, veggies, fruit, nuts, and fried chicken. In the back is the smash cakes for each twin and a cake for everyone else.
I made the pendant banners using one of my favorite large pennant Lifestyle Crafts die cuts, circles, and the Blossom font. Add in some cute polka dot ribbon and you have a cute pennant banner!
There was a hot chocolate bar with all kinds of toppings to turn a regular cup of hot chocolate into something magical! There was whip cream, carmel syrup, marshmallows, crushed peppermint sticks, salt, and striped straws to sip through. She kept the hot chocolate in a crock pot to keep it nice and toasty.
Gift Station
We turned the fireplace into the gift station. I made a simple fabric banner to help disguise the fireplace.
I love fabric banners! They are so easy to make and look fantastic! If you want to see how I did it, check out this fabric banner tutorial.
Photo Display
We used yarn and clothespins to display both the twins’ monthly photos along the entrance. It turned out super cute and was fun seeing how they grew and changed each month! Amanda said they were going to leave it up because it was so fun looking at the pictures and it was an easy way to display them all.
I think Amanda’s Winter ONEderland party turned out awesome! The birthday babies did a great job destroying their cakes and everything. {wish my kids would have done that!}
The first birthday is always such a big milestone! What theme did you do for your kid{s}? I’d love to hear!
happy crafting!
