i can’t believe “wedding season” is almost here! yay! if you’re looking for a Bridal Shower game, here’s a fun one for you! it’s a spin on “His and Hers”.
last weekend i helped a friend throw a Bridal Shower. my job was to come up with a game to play. i wanted to do something a little different and fun. and this is what i came up with, a little game called:
Staches and Tiaras
what’s not love about a mustache? haha
here’s how to play:
- before the shower, i had The Bride and The Groom answer the same set of questions. i then picked out 1 of the 2 answers for each question to use in the game. {scroll down to see the questions i used}
- then at the shower, i passed out to each guest a stache and a tiara on a popsicle stick.
- i read a question and then told them 1 answer {either the bride or the groom’s answer}.
- guests indicated whose answer they thought it was by holding up a mustache {to their top lip!} for the groom or a tiara {on their head!} for the bride.
- for a couple of the questions, the bride and groom answered the exact same. so if guests thought both The Bride and The Groom answered the same, they could hold up both the mustache and the tiara {which i have to say, the ladies looked hilarious doing this!!}
staches and tiaras was a fun game to play and helped break the ice for everyone!
these are the questions i used. but you could come up with all kinds of other fun ones!
Questions
2. Do you prefer cats or dogs?
3. Pie and ice cream OR cake and ice cream?
4. TP roll over OR under?
5. When you get home from work, what do you want first? A- kiss B- food C- foot rub D- go to sleep
6. Pancakes or waffles?
7. How does you like their eggs cooked?
8. When you do laundry, what temperature do you wash the colors with? A- hot B- warm C- cold D- don’t know
9. What is your favorite sport?
10. How old were you when you got your first job?
11. What is your favorite candy?
12. What is your favorite movie?
13. If you won a million dollars, what would you do first? A-go on a cruise B- go shopping C- eat at the nicest restaurant in town D- invest it
14. Which would you rather do? A- clean the toilet B- clean the shower C- clean out the refrigerator
15. What is your favorite ice cream topping?
i cut out the tiaras and mustaches with my Silhouette {love my Silhouette!}and then attached them to Popsicle sticks. {both the staches and tiaras measure 4″ wide}
now i know not all of you have a digital cutting tool, so i whipped up a couple FREE printables for you to use if you want to play this game! :)
these are two different printables that you can print out and put onto popsicle sticks{when you download the files, they will not have my watermark}

happy bridal showering!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I have to host a bridal shower in a couple of weeks for my sister and I love this game! We will definitely be playing this game!
This is such a fun game idea! We have a tradition for baby showers at our church to do a video of the dad-to-be answering questions about fatherhood, etc. The questions are read aloud at the shower and the mom-to-be will give her answer, then the guests try to guess if their answers will be the same or different. Once the guests have guessed (on paper) we play the dad's answer to that question. It can be pretty funny – usually depending on the dad. ;-)
So cute! :)
that's super cute! And I like the "non-silhouette" cards! (mostly because I do not have a silhouette…)
How fun is this!? What a cute idea!
This game is so cute and sounds fun too. Sometimes it's nice to throw something new in the mix other than the typical ones. Love it.

How cute! I'm having a super mario b-day party for my twins and these his and hers will fit perfect. Mustache for boys (mario and luigi) and the tiara for the girls (princess peach) Awesomeness, thanks for the freebie.

Linda
Love this idea! Thank you so very much. This is by far one of the best games I’ve found. I’ve been looking for different and unique and this definitely fits the bill. I also like that it’s well…cheap. Lol. Just being honest. In this day and age we all have to pinch pennies. That doesn’t mean it can’t be nice and that we can’t have fun. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks again!!
LOVE!!! We have showers ALL the time and this will be the best game ever! Thank you!
This is soooo cute! We will definitely be playing this at my Bridal Shower August 6th!
Awesome! Thanks for stopping by Ashley! And good luck with your upcoming wedding :)
happy crafting,
Linda

What a great idea! I am hosting a shower for my sister in a few weeks and was so excited to see this. For my wedding shower my sister videotaped my fiance answering questions, but we won’t have audio/visual access for this shower, so this will work perfectly!
Just bought a Sillhouette. What do I do to get the stashes and tiara on it?
I LOVE this idea! Pinning it to my events board. I have to remember this next time I host a bridal shower. Thanks for the printables!!
Found this via Pinterest and it is TOO CUTE! Thanks!
thanks, Janet! i’m so glad you stopped by and said hi!
happy crafting,

I absolutely love love love this idea and plan to use this at a bridal shower I am throwing next weekend… I do have one question… how would you keep track of who got the most answers right? I want to be able to give a prize to the winner but don’t know how I should keep track of who says what…. any ideas?
Did you ever get an answer to this? I’m throwing a shower in a couple of weeks and want to do this game but I can’t figure out the logistics.
It’s probably too late for your shower but here’s how I plan on doing it: Everyone stand up and when you get an answer wrong you have to sit down. Last one standing wins.
I’m also throwing a shower and planning on using this game, and was also wondering how someone could “win” a prize. The last-man standing is a good idea, does anyone have any other suggestions?
Where can you get the supplies, ie. popsicle sticks and the crowns and mustaches you have.. not the printable ones but the ones in the picture? I like the look of them better.
Hi Marla,
I cut the crowns and mustaches out with my Silhouette Cameo {digital cutting tool}. If you needed, I could probably cut some out for you too, I think I still have the file saved.
thanks!
linda
I would love it if you would post the files for those who have Silhouettes! (if you still have them saved) I love the simplicity of the ones that you cut, and am having a difficult time finding similar ones. Thanks!! Love it =)
i found this through a pinterest search. What a cute idea for a game!!! i have been searching for 30 minutes and this is the first one i liked… THANKS!!!
Glad you liked it, Kris! Hope it helps :) Thanks for stopping by!
happy crafting,

I love this! Already printed out the questions for my sisters bridal shower. Do you happen to have the file for the silhouette? I haven’t been able to find the cute simple ones that you used.
Thanks for sharing!!
How did you have them keep track of their score to determine who wins the game?
I love this idea so much! I was looking for a unique game and this works great!
How do you keep score? We were wanting to give a small prize to the winner : )
Also, do you tell the answer right after each question or do you wait to reveal who said what after all the questions are answered?
Thank you for your help!

I love the Staches and Tiaras game. I’m going to use at my daughter’s bridal shower this weekend. I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun.
Thank you for posting your questions
They’re light and fluffy which I think makes he game more fun
But did you use the lil moustaches and tiaras AND and an answer like sheet for your guests?
How do they keep track.
I’m new :))
