Reusable Spring Cleaning List

Now that Christmas is over and all the holiday decorations are put away for another year {sniff sniff}, the spring cleaning bug has bit me! I’ve been itching to scour and scrub and declutter E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!

And although I have started my spring cleaning, I have only been able to get a teeny, tiny bit done. Its sure is a lot of work and takes a whole lot of time!! And it is so easy to FORGET or over look some of the areas that need to be cleaned. Or if you’re like me and do it over a period of time, its easy to forget if you did something or not…. Double Spring Cleaning, anyone?? ha!

So I decided I should make a Reusable Spring Cleaning List that I can use year after year. That way I don’t miss anything and I can keep track of what I have cleaned and what I have not cleaned.

spring cleaning craft  To make a Reusable Spring Cleaning list, I used handful of supplies:

  • Scotch® PRO Laminator
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch
  • Scotch® Washi Tape
  • Black Dry erase marker
  • Ribbon, trim, ric rac
  • Scotch® Thermal Laminating Pouches in 8.5×11
  • Printable Spring Cleaning List {I used this one}
  • ring

Laminated Spring Cleaning list || reuse year after year

1. I printed off the cleaning list, put into a thermal laminating pouch and ran it through my Scotch® PRO Laminator. {which is a totally awesome laminator! I love it.}

2. Then I used scissors to cut out the different sections/categories of the list. This makes it smaller and easier to carry around with me. Oh and less daunting when I look at it!

3. Then punch a hole in the top left corner of each piece of the list and put onto the ring.

4. I used Washi Tape to put little tabs on the different categories to designate 1st floor or 2nd floor or both floors. I couldn’t resist adding a little embellishment to the ring and so I added ribbon and ric rac for a little cuteness.

Spring Cleaning list reusable || use the same list year after year + keep track of what has been cleaned and what hasn't. Then as I’m cleaning, I use the dry erase marker to check off what I’ve done!

What I like about this reusable list:

  • I have the same list each year.
  • I can reuse it.
  • I can keep track of what I have done and what still needs to be done so I don’t skip or double up on tasks.

Have you started your Spring Cleaning? Do you have a System? Any suggestions or tips you’d like to add? I’ve love to hear in the comments below!
