It has only been 2 years since our last move and it was one of the most stressful times of my life! Trying to keep our home clean 24-7 with 3 littles kids ages 5 and under was nearly impossible. Yes, we got those last minute phone calls for showings and then the buyers would show up a mere 20 minutes after we got the call. I tell ya, selling a house is crazy stressful! The hardest part is keeping it clean all. the. time. Here are some tips and tricks to help you keep your home fresh and clean with the help of Swiffer and Mr. Clean’s “Clean Slate” program.
Swiffer Dusters have been one of my favorites for YEARS. They are so handy and make dusting a breeze. Just a quick swipe and the surface it clean! And one of the best perks of this handy little tool, is my kids think its so fun to use that they beg, yes, BEG to dust! Let’s suffice it to say, I will never deter a child from fulfilling their lifelong dusting dreams. ha!
I actually use Swiffer Dusters on the floor too, if I’m in a pinch. They work great to sweep up a dusty corner of the room in a matter of seconds.
I have several dark wood pieces of furniture, so having a good duster is a must.
Notice my peonies? They are blooming right now and I’m in heaven! See more pictures of them on my Instagram.
We moved into our current home when it was only 2 years old and it felt brand new. We desperately wanted to keep that new house look and feel for sure. And we did for like the first year. ha!
HGTV’s Jonathan Scott says that cleaning is the first step to making a house a home, and he’s teamed up with Swiffer and Mr. Clean to educate movers on how to maintain a clean slate and keep their homes looking like new.
