Hey Crafters! Happy Tuesday! I had planned to show off the Halloween costumes I made for the boys today……but Davis took my camera to work today and forget to bring it home. And yes, the pics were still on the camera, darn it! So switching it up today.
Today I’m going to show you the cute Mickey Mouse t-shirts I made for our Disney World family reunion this year. {yes, we had a blast!} Because no family reunion is complete without an official reunion t-shirt, right??
Mickey Mouse Shirts
Of course I pulled out my crafting BFF, my CAMEO and whipped out some mickey shirts for the entire family. We picked out lots of different colors of shirts for the family {don’t ya love the blue ombre above!} and so I choose black heat transfer for the mouse decal.
I create my own mouse ears design using the circle tool in the Silhouette Studio Software. I use the designer version of the Silhouette Studio software and it makes designing and creating your own designs so much easier! If you’re considering purchasing it, it is definitely worth the money!
Here’s a candid shot of my hubby, Davis and my youngest sporting their shirts:
Little H is mesmerized by the ceiling fan! lol
It was really easy to make my own mouse ears design. I made 2 circles using the circle tool. One was big and one was small. Then I copied the smaller circle and rotated it so the ears were the same shape and size. {i made them to be slightly oval shaped} Then selected all 3 circles and grouped them together. Then I welded the shapes together so it became an outline of the 3 circles.
Then I followed this Heat Transfer tutorial and applied the Mickey Mouse shapes to 13 shirts for our family reunion.
happy crafting,
Linda
