Hello! A simple hello goes a long way and can always brighten your day. Its the simple things in life, right? So why not incorporate this friendly greeting into your home decor? I did with a little hello vinyl decal.
Hello Vinyl Decal
I positioned my hello vinyl underneath our family portraits in our family room. I think it looks awesome! And it sort of makes the wall more friendly, ha!
I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out a simple hello in black vinyl I got from Happy Crafters. The font I used was DilleniaUPC. Love how I can cut any font for free with my Silhouette! Saves me a lot of money instead of buying cartridges for every single cut.
How to Cut Vinyl with a Silhouette
- Open up Silhouette Studio. Then select the font tool on the left.
- Type in “hello.” and resize as needed.
- Select Silhouette Vinyl for your cut settings and load your vinyl into your Silhouette. {note: you do not need a cutting mat to cut vinyl}
- Click cut and your Silhouette will cut out your design.
- When its done, unload your vinyl, trim off the design portion. Then weed out the excess vinyl.
- Place a piece of transfer paper over the vinyl and rub to transfer the vinyl design onto the transfer paper.
- Then apply to your wall by rubbing the transfer paper with a stick or the scraping tool.
My favorite tool to use when I use any die cutting tool is my hook. This handy little tool is my crafting BFF! It makes weeding vinyl {removing the unwanted pieces around the design} so much easier. Because I’ll be honest, weeding vinyl isn’t that fun.
