Happy Monday, Crafters! I’m throwing a baby shower for my friend, Jen who is having a baby girl in a few short weeks. I just finished the announcements for the party and they turned out so stinkin’ cute! The theme is diapers and bows and this is what I came up with….
Baby Shower Invitations
Little baby dresses accented with a pretty bow….and a diaper bottom! Totally cute and totally baby!
I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut them out. They fold open and I wrote the shower info on the inside.
The colors for the baby shower are pink, blue, and green to coordinate with the cute nursery her mama has put together for her.
Design a Baby Shower Invitation
I used 2 different Silhouette download designs to create my card. I used “Baby Girl Motifs” and “Baby Girl Onesie Card Kit” designs. I easily manipulated the shapes in the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software to get a completely custom design for my baby shower invites.
{right now you can get 50% off the Silhouette Studio Designer software with code: CRAFT ends 7/11/12}
Having 2 boys myself, I’m having a blast playing with pink, bows, and girly things! too fun.
I’ll be working on shower decorations, food, favors, and baby shower games! Any suggestions for these that goes along with the Diapers and Bows theme??
happy crafting!
Linda
disclosure: i received the Silhouette Studio Designer Software to try for free. please see my disclosure page for a complete statement.

Those are darling! Great attention to detail! What about a bow tie pasta salad or something similar to go along with the theme? Just a thought…=)
ooooh, I love it!! I’m totally doing the bow tie pasta! Great idea, Jill! Thanks!!

I’ve played the game where you melt chocolate bars in diapers (yep, it’s supposed to be like that stuff usually found in diapers:)) and label the diapers with numbers. Everyone has to guess what kind of candy is in each diaper. I love the cards!
Those turned out so cute! Have fun at the party. :)
Thanks, Jenn!! I’m so glad you stopped by today :)

Love the invitations!! I have been working on some with a similar theme as well!
I made cupcake toppers to coordinate by cutting out two images and running them through the cuttlebug to create a textured effect and then attaching them to a lollipop stick to create the topper. I used the onesie image as well as the diaper image but I’m sure you could use whatever images work for you!
Thank you for all your creative ideas!!

How about making diaper cakes and wreaths? I also saw a tutorial on how to make a diaper motorcycle on Pinterest. The little elephant on top was too cute!
I really your invite and would like to try it?. Do you have the sizes of each piece?
Linda,
Where did you get the paper for the dresses? The prints are too cute!
Hi Jenis,
I think papers were from the Dear Lizzy line {made by American Crafts I think}. Does that help?
thanks,
Linda
Love these! I planned on using the same designs for my nieces baby shower. What was the final size of your invite?
Hi Nikki, I think they were about 6″ tall. Hope this helps!
thanks,
Linda
Hi, I just love your shower invitation and I am trying to duplicate it for a shower that I am working on. I purchased the designs from the Silhouette store and I was wondering if you did anything additional to the designs other than sizing them down. I just can’t seem to get the dress to fit right on top of the onesie, especially along the sleeves. Also, I am having trouble with the neckline decoration. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I don’t have the Designer Edition Software, so perhaps that is my problem. Any advice that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Happy crafting. Julie
