I have it hanging up right now! {I’m not quite ready for V-day, are you??} I used some of my Scotch Expressions tape for this project. How to make a Snowman Wreath Tutorial

snowman wreath tutorialSupplies:

  • Scotch Expressions Magic Tape in Medium Blue and Dark Blue
  • Scotch Expressions Masking Tape in Tangerine
  • Scotch Precision Ultra Edge Titanium Non-Stick Scissors
  • 2-5″ grapevine wreaths
  • 1-8″ grapevine wreath
  • Hot glue gun
  • twine
  • thin chipboard
  • tongue depressor
  • craft knife
  • self healing craft knife
  • wood triangle or a wood shape that you can cut to create a triangle {I used a lightening bolt}

1. Hot glue the 2-5″ grapevine wreaths together so that they create a figure 8. Then hot glue the 8″ grapevine wreath to the bottom of the figure 8 to create a snowman shape. Then wrap twine around where you hot glued the wreaths together and tie a knot in the back to reenforce the wreaths. Trim off the excess twine.

2. Apply alternating strips of the medium blue tape and dark blue tape to one side of the tongue depressor until it is completely covered. wreath tutorial 3. Flip the tongue depressor over and carefully use a craft knife to trim off the excess. Using the scissors, cut off the rounded ends of the tongue depressor and then hot glue between the 2-5″ wreaths to create a scarf for the snowman.

4. {optional} If you couldn’t find a wood triangle for the carrot nose, use a craft knife or scissors, cut a triangle from another wood shape. Here I cut off the tip of a lightening bolt to get a nice skinny triangle shape for my nose.

5. Cover one side of the triangle with the Tangerine colored tape and trim off the excess with a craft knife. Then hot glue to the top 5″ grapevine wreath to create a carrot nose for the snowman.

6. Cut a hat shape in your chipboard. {my hat measures 3″ top to bottom and 5″ at the widest part of the brim. Then cover the hat in dark blue tape and add a small strip of medium blue tape as a band around the hat. Then hot glue the hat at a slight angle to the top 5″ grapevine wreath to create a hat.
