Looking for a little something to add to your Fall Porch decor? Make this easy Wood Arrow Pumpkins sign!
Easy Fall Craft
Hello! It’s Ginger from GingerSnapCrafts.com. It is amazing to be a part of the Craftaholics Anonymous® Creative Team this year, & I am so excited to be visiting with all you today! Usually I’m over on my blog sharing fun recipes, easy crafts or my latest DIY projects. You’ll have to stop by sometime. :) I finally brought all my fall decorations down from the attic last week. Yay! I always try to add a few new things to what I already have. So I decided to make this cute DIY Pumpkins Sign for our front porch pumpkin patch. It was so easy to make. So let me show you how. :)
You’ll need a few supplies:
wooden arrow (I found this one at Target in their craft supply section.)
“pumpkins” vinyl lettering
Minwax Wood Finishing Cloths
rubber gloves
First, I stained my wooden arrow a dark mahogany. I just tried out the staining cloths for the first time a few weeks ago. Have you tried them? They are way less messier than staining the old way. Yay for less mess! The stain does seem to dry faster than traditional stain. So just make sure you hurry & smooth your stain out with the wipe before it starts drying. If you wanted a different look you could use a lighter color stain or even paint. The possibilities are endless.
Let the stain dry. I only did one coat. Then it’s time to apply your vinyl lettering. I found this “pumpkins” word image in the Silhouette online store. You could easily just use your favorite font to cut out the word pumpkin. If you don’t have a Silhouette you could use letter stencils or freehand it. :)
The only thing left to do was sit it out on our front porch with all of the pumpkins, of course! :)
I hope you try this easy fall sign, too! Let me know if you do. :)
Thanks so much for having me over! I’ll see you back here next month! :)
