Happy Tuesday, friends! I love Baby Showers, don’t you? Something about celebrating those tiny little snuggle bugs is just so fun and exciting. Well, I threw a Diapers and Bows baby shower for my friend, Jen on Saturday and it turned out so stinkin cute! I’ll be sharing different details of the shower this week, and today I’m focusing on the baby shower decor.
Baby Shower
The colors were pink {of course}, turquoise, and green, which is some of the colors Jen put in the baby room. The combo was very bright and happy!
I had a lot of fun with this shower. Thanks to my 2 little guys, I get in the boy rut, so doing the whole girl thing for a change, was a blast! There were polka dots, pink, and pom poms. too fun!
I filled my favorite drink dispenser {isn’t it the cutest thing ever?!} with homemade strawberry lemonade {so yummy!} and had striped paper draws to sip it with. There will polka dot candy cups filled with skittles and chex mix. I made BOWtie pasta salad to go with the Diapers and Bows theme.
This is the rosette paper bunting I made for Jen with her little girl’s name, Karis, on it. I used my Epic 6 die cutting tool to make it. Here are the dies I used: the rosette die, new nesting pennant die, and the Blossom alphabet dies {i think this one was discontinued} You can get 20% off at Lifestyle Crafts with discount code: CRAFT
I made my first ever cake pops {more on that later!} and put them on my ruffled white cake plates. I also used my Epic 6 to make name tags for everyone.
Up next is the baby shower games we played along with theme fitting prizes. {you’ll get a good kick out of them!} So stop by tomorrow for more baby shower fun!
happy crafting,
Linda

What a beautiful party!! Megan
Thank you, Megan!
How did you make the Pom poms you have hanging from the ceiling? I am moving into a new classroom and I need to decorate it…I would love to be able to hamm something like those from the ceiling!
Do you want to make me some? ;)
Hi Sara,
Those are Martha Stewart tissue pom poms {they were on clearance}. If I’d had time, I would have made some of my t-shirt pom poms for the shower http://www.craftaholicsanonymous.net/t-shirt-pom-poms-tutorial For long term decor, I’d go with t-shirt/jersey poms because you can wash them….
