Creative Estates {yes, i think i am the LAST attendee to post about it}

so i’m totally embarrassed that i’m just now posting about Creative Estates……like an entire month after the event! YIKES! but it gets even better…..i have only one picture from the conference. yup. you read that right, ONE measly picture!  there. i said it. shun me now! but before you go and hate me, hear me out.

  • i had a 6mo old {super needy} baby to attend to.
  • i didn’t take my {real} camera. just my iphone. {between a stroller, a baby, and 2 carry on bags, i didn’t have the arms to carry my non-Jo Totes camera bag}

Baby H and Kim from Today's Creative Blog

so this cute pic of Baby H with the oh-so-famous Kim from Today’s Creative Blog is the only picture i took. but it is a picture that means a lot to me. Kim gave me my first “big break” and featured me when i was only 200 followers old. {yes, my blog grows up based on my followers haha} that feature meant so much to me!  i was so excited to meet Kim in real life. and….. she totally stole Baby H so i could listen to a break out session! {love her!}

Creative Estates was a ton of fun! i was out with the babe half the time so i missed a good chunk of it {note to self: DO NOT take a baby to a blogging conference ever again!} but it was a wonderful event that was very well put together! for those who weren’t able to attend, i tried to tweet what was going on as much as i could so you’d feel a part of it. so many gorgeous, talented, and uber creative ladies all in one place….it was a Craftaholic’s dream! {oh and the only guys there were from Silhouette. they tried to fit in and made matching shirts with their Silhouettes, but they still stuck out!}

i roomed with my dear friend, Danielle from Two Lilies Boutique. we’ve been online buddies for awhile, so i was SO excited to meet her in person! {she was one of the main reasons i went to Creative Estates} and i have to say, she is GORGEOUS!  she is the hair guru. not even kidding you. her hair is fabulous. every single day, rain or shine. {it rained while during the conference} so of course, i tried to con her into doing my hair…. but only suceeded in getting her to trim my bangs at the hotel room….. haha

i also stayed with Elizabeth from Sew Chatty. Elizabeth is a really fun gal! i really enjoyed meeting her and chatting away ;o)

i am so sad we didn’t take a roomates pic. these ladies were so awesome and totally nice about Baby H waking them up at night. {i felt awful! Baby H did not sleep well during the conference.}

ANYWAYS, i am so sad that Shey and Tauni split ways. Shey is doing Creative Estates in Arizona and Tauni is doing Snap in Salt Lake City next spring. i am completely torn! i don’t know which one to go to. wish i had the funds to go to both, but since i have to fly across the country for either of them, its probably not possible. so are you going to Snap or Creative Estates???

    HAHA! if you grow by the number of followers then I’m just at a fetus stage or something! lol! Maybe some day I will be “born”. I just started and its been slow-going. I’m not going to give up though! Blogging conferences sound really fun!

    It was fun meeting you and Baby H! And yes, Danielle had awesome hair! I’m totally jealous! I am going to SNAP! but I’m sure either one will have some great information!

    I’m not sure…but I’d love to go to one. I’m in the same boat as you. I’m in Michigan, so either trip will be costly.

    This sounds like so much fun!! I am a newbie to the crafting but not to blogging…trying to transition my blog into a crafty blog and having a ton of fun doing it! now i have to try to decide which conference would be best for a newborn such as me!

    love it, you are so cute! I wish I would have found your closet when I brought Emmalyn on Friday. I’ll definitely be going next year! We should be roomies. That would be SO fun!

    It was great to meet you and the cute little guy at CE. I think only you can make the final decision on what conference you attend. I know that going to both is abviously not in everyone’s budget. But if you want more details about SNAP any of the team would be happy to share. See you on the Twitter!

    If your blog grows based on followers I must still be incubating LOL. I only have 26! Ha Ha!
    I am pretty sure that I am going to make it to SNAP! in April. I have looked at all the speakers and its like going to see my blog idols. I’ve gotta make it happen.
    The conferences look like so much fun, I cannot wait to go!!

    Talking about your big break, I was totally thinking it was by holding the babe. HA!
    Now give me that baby!!
    Great photo, he was a cutie! Wonderful meeting you!

    It was great meeting you! Kim featured me about a month before CE and it was a fabulous day and then meeting her in real life was just as awesome as she is!

    I’m not sure which one I’ll go to this year, if I’ll be able to go at all, but right now I am thinking SNAP. We’ll see!

    Linda, it’s been so interesting reading everyone’s posts from Creative Estates. I’ve loved seeing everyone’s unique take on things. I am glad you had a good time.

    I have to say if I were going to grab one photo at the event, it just might be the same one you did. Kim is one of my favorite people in the whole world and I really look up to her! I have been reading her blog for years.

    I sure wish I would have been able to spend more time with you. I have been a Linda fan forever (I think I read your blog even before Kim featured you if you can believe it).

    I think I may be a little biased when it comes to sharing information about which conference to attend, but I know for sure I would love to see you again!

    xoxo

    P.S. For the record I don’t own a Jo Totes bag either :)
