Today is the day I get to reveal my NEW Craft Room!! YAYYY! I’ve been working on my new craft space for over a year now. {click here to see behind the scenes of the #CraftaholicCraftRoom transformation} I wanted it to be just perfect. And it is! I absolutely adore my new craft room! It is my Happy Place, to say the least. When I crack open that door and breathe in the stench aroma of burlap, it is my zen.
Craft Room

As you can see, I wanted to surround myself in color. Bright, happy colors! I have so many favorites in this room. The yellow chandelier, the party lights, the coral milk cart, the turquoise industrial stool, the ruffled burlap, the floral valances, everything! {if you want to see what the room looked like before, scroll down to the bottom!}
Craftaholics Anonymous® Craft Room
And the view below is everything.Everything a crafter’s dreams are made of!
I did a yellow chandelier again in my new craft room {I stole it from our dining room}. I used a different shade of yellow spray paint than I did in my old craft room. The new color is Warm Yellow. I kept my hanging fabric organization system. I love having all my fabric out where I can see it! The shelf underneath the hanging fabric we found for free on the side of the road. We turned it sideways, added more shelves, and painted it white. Later I stenciled it. Its been a handy fabric organizer.
In the center, you see the EZ View Desk by The Original Scrapbook. I love the see-thru top and all the drawers! I used to have the extra see of drawers underneath the top to make it taller. But when we set it up at our new house, I decided to leave them out. I wanted a shorter desk to work on.
This is my Sewing Box by The Original Scrapbox. It is a fantastical little cabinet that stores my sewing machines and sewing supplies AND has work tops that fold it. Its pretty awesome! You can see more pictures of the Sewing Box in action in my last craft room here.
The metal bins on the white cabinet hold ribbon. Lots and lots of ribbon! All on spools. And some bakers twine.
I added storage and decor above my Sewing Box.
Felt Ball Storage Idea
Felt Balls in a Rainbow of colors? Stored in Mason Jars?? Yes, please!! I love storing my felt balls in mason jars. Its combining 2 things I love.
Favorite Spot in My craft Room
Now this is my most favorite spot in my craft room…..
This little nook is magical! It is seriously like a craft party 24-7 {see my Instagram pic} in here with party lights, barn lights {mine were from Lowes. Here are similar ones.}, ruffles + burlap, numbered chairs, rainbow bunting and rainbows of color everywhere. Seriously. I could sit on that stool and craft and day dream all.day.long!
That industrial stool is everything!
Craft Paint Storage
I found this organizer at Target. Its adorable and goes great with my barn lights and numbered chairs.
Craft Vinyl Storage
This is my vinyl storage station and a secondary ribbon station. I redid a thrifted milk cart into a pretty shade of coral to hold my vinyl. {More details about the milk cart makeover in a separate post coming soon!} The metal bins on the bottom shelf of the cart hold my scrap vinyl. One metal bin holds my heat vinyl scraps and the other one holds my regular craft vinyl scraps. So far its worked great!
I bought a cheap shoe rack and put my craft vinyl in it. It works perfectly! Its the right depth and each opening holds up to 7 rolls of vinyl. This is the one I use. They are stackable so if you have tons of vinyl, you can stack a couple of them on top of each other. I get most of my vinyl from Silhouette and Amazon.
I added vintage finds around my craft room. They add character! Here is a vintage porcelain horse. I think he needs a name. Just can’t quite find the right one yet….
And a vintage lunch pail. The turquoise color and chippy paint is to die for!! I use it like a paper weight on my craft books and magazines.
Blogging/Computer Station
This is where all the blogging magic happens! We got the drop leaf desk for free when we first moved to Virginia 7 years ago. I painted and distressed it. The light blue chair was thrifted. I spray painted it and distressed it and then added a vinyl decal to it. Read more about my chair makeover here. And yes, it was the first chair in my craft room! ;)
I found all those craft room prints online for free. Check out these cute free craft room printables!
On the other side of the room, you’ll see my big craft cabinet. Its called the WorkBox. Its made by The Original Scrapbook. It opens up and folds out to this amazing craft storage unit.
Here’s a little peek at what the WorkBox opens up to. I’ll share more about it in a separate post soon!
My littles like to sneak into my craft room and explore!
Craft Room BEFORE
Here is what the room looked like before:
When we first moved in.
This is the nook after we had lived here for awhile and I tried to work out of it with none of it organized.
