Craft Room Tour

Today is the day I get to reveal my NEW Craft Room!! YAYYY! I’ve been working on my new craft space for over a year now. {click here to see behind the scenes of the #CraftaholicCraftRoom transformation} I wanted it to be just perfect. And it is! I absolutely adore my new craft room! It is my Happy Place, to say the least. When I crack open that door and breathe in the stench aroma of burlap, it is my zen.

As you can see, I wanted to surround myself in color. Bright, happy colors! I have so many favorites in this room. The yellow chandelier, the party lights, the coral milk cart, the turquoise industrial stool, the ruffled burlap, the floral valances, everything! {if you want to see what the room looked like before, scroll down to the bottom!}

Craftaholics Anonymous® Craft Room

And the view below is everything.Everything a crafter’s dreams are made of!

Craft Room with Craft Desk and lots of awesome organization ideas! www.CraftaholicsAnonymous.net

I did a yellow chandelier again in my new craft room {I stole it from our dining room}. I used a different shade of yellow spray paint than I did in my old craft room. The new color is Warm Yellow. I kept my hanging fabric organization system. I love having all my fabric out where I can see it! The shelf underneath the hanging fabric we found for free on the side of the road. We turned it sideways, added more shelves, and painted it white. Later I stenciled it. Its been a handy fabric organizer.

In the center, you see the EZ View Desk by The Original Scrapbook. I love the see-thru top and all the drawers! I used to have the extra see of drawers underneath the top to make it taller. But when we set it up at our new house, I decided to leave them out. I wanted a shorter desk to work on.

Sewing Cabinet in the most amazing craft room ever. Lots of Craft Room storage ideas on www.CraftaholicsAnonymous.net

This is my Sewing Box by The Original Scrapbox. It is a fantastical little cabinet that stores my sewing machines and sewing supplies AND has work tops that fold it. Its pretty awesome! You can see more pictures of the Sewing Box in action in my last craft room here.

The metal bins on the white cabinet hold ribbon. Lots and lots of ribbon! All on spools. And some bakers twine.

Colorful felt ball storage idea www.craftaholicsanonymous.net

I added storage and decor above my Sewing Box.

Felt Ball Storage Idea

Felt Balls in a Rainbow of colors? Stored in Mason Jars?? Yes, please!! I love storing my felt balls in mason jars. Its combining 2 things I love.

Favorite Spot in My craft Room

Now this is my most favorite spot in my craft room…..

Amazing Craft Nook. I want to curl up and craft my little heart out in there! Take a tour of the Dream Craft Room www.craftaholicsanonymous.net

This little nook is magical! It is seriously like a craft party 24-7 {see my Instagram pic} in here with party lights, barn lights {mine were from Lowes. Here are similar ones.}, ruffles + burlap, numbered chairs, rainbow bunting and rainbows of color everywhere. Seriously. I could sit on that stool and craft and day dream all.day.long!

Craft Room desk with ruffled burlap skirt. Great idea to hide storage underneath the desk. Take a tour of the Dream Craft Room www.craftaholicsanonymous.net

That industrial stool is everything!

Craft Paint Storage

Craft Paint Storage Idea on www.CraftaholicsAnonymous.net

I found this organizer at Target. Its adorable and goes great with my barn lights and numbered chairs.

Craft Vinyl Storage

Craft Room Organization and storage ideas. This is a MUST SEE Craft Room! www.CraftaholicsAnonymous.net

This is my vinyl storage station and a secondary ribbon station. I redid a thrifted milk cart into a pretty shade of coral to hold my vinyl. {More details about the milk cart makeover in a separate post coming soon!} The metal bins on the bottom shelf of the cart hold my scrap vinyl. One metal bin holds my heat vinyl scraps and the other one holds my regular craft vinyl scraps. So far its worked great!

Craft Vinyl Storage idea. Use a cheap shoe rack! Lots more craft room organization ideas on www.CraftaholicsAnonymous.net

I bought a cheap shoe rack and put my craft vinyl in it. It works perfectly! Its the right depth and each opening holds up to 7 rolls of vinyl. This is the one I use. They are stackable so if you have tons of vinyl, you can stack a couple of them on top of each other. I get most of my vinyl from Silhouette and Amazon.

Vintage Porcelein Horse toy

I added vintage finds around my craft room. They add character! Here is a vintage porcelain horse. I think he needs a name. Just can’t quite find the right one yet….

Vintage Lunch Pail with handles

And a vintage lunch pail. The turquoise color and chippy paint is to die for!! I use it like a paper weight on my craft books and magazines.

Blogging/Computer Station

Computer station in Craft Room

This is where all the blogging magic happens! We got the drop leaf desk for free when we first moved to Virginia 7 years ago. I painted and distressed it. The light blue chair was thrifted. I spray painted it and distressed it and then added a vinyl decal to it. Read more about my chair makeover here. And yes, it was the first chair in my craft room! ;)

I found all those craft room prints online for free. Check out these cute free craft room printables!

Craftaholics Anonymous Craft Room www.CraftaholicsAnonymous.net

On the other side of the room, you’ll see my big craft cabinet. Its called the WorkBox. Its made by The Original Scrapbook. It opens up and folds out to this amazing craft storage unit.

Here’s a little peek at what the WorkBox opens up to. I’ll share more about it in a separate post soon!

Hi! I'm Linda, the craft addict behind Craftaholics Anonymous®, a craft blog. Crafting is cheaper than therapy, right? When I'm not DIYing something, I can be found taxiing around our 4 crazy kids or working out. Or shoe shopping... because you can never have too many shoes! Happy crafting! ♥

What a beautiful room! I’ve just come across your website via Pinterest. I love your #create sign – where did you get it?

    1. 24.1

Thanks, Laura! I made it using Heidi Swapp’s Marquee letters from Target :)

      1. Lauren

I absolutely love the create sign as well! Would you mind elaborating on how you decorated the letters from Target? Sorry, rookie crafter over here!

        1. Hi Lauren! I bought the blank marquee letters from Target. They come with a template so that you can cut paper to put inside them, which is what I did. Then I inserted the bulbs and ta-da! That was it :)

      1. Scrapbox recently changed their totes. The gray see-thru ones are the new ones. I’m pretty sure you can order a new set of totes on their site.

Hi Brooke! Congrats on the blog AND the craft room! The create sign is Heidi Swapp’s marque letters. I used different scrapbook papers for the background. The felt pennant banner is from Michaels in the wool felt section. Hope that helps! :)

I am planning to totally re-do my craft room (as well as move it upstairs). You pictures are very inspiring – what is the name of the paint color you used on the walls and trim? It looks like a warm neutral gray??? I really like it!

    1. 42.1

Thanks Eileen! It is Stonington Gray by Benjamin Moore, but I do a color match with Sherwin Williams paint to save money :)

    Hi Linda:

I absolutely love your craft room!!!, what a dream room. Crafting is so much fun. My daughter laughs at some of my mishaps, but that’s the joy of it. Would you happen to have a guide or pattern for your ruffled table skirt. That looks great, I would love to make one for my table and be able to utilize under the table for more unseen storage. Thanks for sharing.

  49. 50

Nice! Please post the information/ website for the burlap table cloth!!!???!❤️
I want to know to i can have one fir my home office

    1. 50.1

      Hi Jennifer,
I just sewed ruffles onto the burlap strips using a ruffler foot. Then sewed the ruffled strips to a large burlap piece.
