Burlap Beach Wreath
If you’ve read this blog, you probably have realized that I love making wreaths! We are headed to a beach cottage in North Carolina in a few weeks for our family vacation, so I’m craving everything beach-y right now! So this little blue burlap wreath with white starfish helped satisfy those cravings. For now. Beach week can’t come quick enough though!!
I used some giant white starfish that we got at the Outer Banks last year. {no, we did not find them ourselves. we bought them for about $1/each thanks to off season pricing.}
This easy wreath requires only a handful of supplies and is super easy to make!
Easy Beach Wreath Tutorial
Supplies:
- 12″ Wire Wreath Form
- 10-15 yards turquoise-blue burlap ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun
- 5 Large starfish
- Crochet lace trim
1. Tie one end of the burlap ribbon to the wire wreath form.
2. Then start from the back and push up small loops of burlap, rotating which opening in the wire wreath form it comes out of.
3. Continue adding more burlap loops until your wreath is as full as you’d like it. I used about 12 yards of burlap on mine. When one roll of burlap ends, tuck it under to hide the ends and start a new roll.
4. Hot glue the star fish onto the burlap making sure to secure it well.
Then hang with crocheted lace trim or other coordinating ribbon for a shabby chic beachy look and enjoy!

Chelle — It is a pretty wreath, and you’ll find the turquoise burlap at WalMart under the FloraCraft label “Design It: Simple Style®”. It’s the perfect color for summertime!
Wow that looks so cute & so simple to make!
Thank you, Susie!
I love this one! It is such a beautiful variation on a burlap wreath. I am a new follower and I think we live near one another. I am in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Am I right? Are we “neighbors”?

Thanks, Amanda! We just moved from Carrollton to Richmond in June. So we are just a little longer distance neighbors now! :)
I teach very close to Carrollton so I know that area well. I was just in Richmond last week for a few days. Cue music – “It’s a small world after all”… haha
LOL love it! Let me know next time you’re in Richmond and maybe we’ll hit Hobby Lobby together or something!
