Back to School with Minc!

This post is brought to you by American Crafts. As always, all opinions are 100% my own. Please see my disclosure page for a complete statement.

Back to school, baby! Moms cry and celebrate all at the same time. Or maybe that’s just me. ha! We don’t start school until after Labor Day, so we still have some time for some summer fun. yay!

DIY Gold Foil Note Cards

I find myself needing blank note cards. And I want them to be cute! The Heidi Swapp Minc Foil Tool is so perfect for this. She has these awesome note cards that you can add any color of foil to in a matter of minutes. And then all I have to do is quickly write in a quick note and I’m set!

Love this #RAD card! I love how hip and modern Heidi Swapp products are. They are always fresh and on-trend. So you can’t go wrong!

I added gold foil to my notecards {I swear I go thru rolls of gold foil like its candy around here!} and envelope sets using my Minc tool. The Minc works kind of like a laminator and you put your project in a plastic sheet and run it through the machine. {see my 15 second video of this here}

And the cherry on the top is the coordinating envelopes that you can add foil to as well. Totally stylin! These note cards are perfect for teachers, kids, neighbors, and your hubby. If he’s rad. haha! ;)

Have you tried the Minc tool yet?

    Hi Linda! Love your blog and all the great projects you feature. I just bought the Minc a couple of weeks ago and have tried it a few times. I wanted to use it for the upcoming holiday season and start making cards. However, I continue to get black specks on my designs after running through the machine. I had my design printed with laser toner on smooth cardstock at Kinko’s. I’ve tried wiping the design gently before running through just in case there might be dust. Any suggestions as to the issue or how the resolve? Thanks so much!

      Hi Glenda! Congrats on the new Minc! :) Try a hotter setting. I get those spots too. But I think its just the foil not getting hot enough.
