I’m so excited to share my St. Patrick’s Day Mantle with you today! I usually don’t do much for St. Patrick’s Day, but the stars aligned this year and I had lots of fun stuff that was perfect for a St. Paddy’s Day mantlescape, so I had to do it! Check out my sneak peek on IG last week here.
St. Patrick’s Day Mantle
Green, gold, rainbow, shamrocks and an Irish blessing all in one place! You can’t get more St. Patrick’s Day-ish than that!
Right after New Years, I found silver and gold fan medallions on clearance at the craft store. So I picked them up. So I had them sitting around and knew the gold ones were PERFECT for my St. Patrick’s Day vignette! They look like floating gold coins above my mantle.
Not going to lie, the rainbow felt ball garland is probably my favoritest thing in my St. Patrick’s Day mantle! It adds the perfect whimsical touch that this holiday has, and who doesn’t love a good rainbow, right??!
I whipped up a simple DIY St. Patrick’s Day wreath. I simply covered a straw wreath form with green burlap and hot glued on some glitter foam shamrocks. Then I reused a chalkboard bunting that I’ve used on other wreaths and tied it onto the wreath. Top it off by hanging with a jute ribbon bow. Since I have a lot going on on my mantle, I didn’t want an overdone St. Paddy’s Day wreath. So I kept it fairly simple. It cost about $15 to make this wreath.
My favorite garland in the history of ever! Felt Balls in a rainbow of colors?? SWOON! I had to share this on IG while I was making it. Its like upside down rainbows playing half circles dancing on my mantle!
I printed off this free printable Irish blessing from A Night Owl Blog.
I made this mini Gold Glitter Shamrock wood sign with my Silhouette CAMEO, double sided adhesive, and gold glitter. That was a fun, quick St. Patrick’s Day craft idea!
I can’t believe how well everything came together for this mantlescape!
So that’s my super festive St. Patrick’s Day Mantle!

Thank you, Trina! :) xo
The rainbow felt ball garland is awesome-sauce! Just this week I came across cute printables for the song, “When I am Baptised” (The “I like to look for rainbows song”). I decided to do a rainbow themed baptism party and possibly decorate my daughters room similarly. This garland will just be the icing on the cake! Thanks for sharing such a fun idea!!!
Beautiful mantle simple too i like the pop of color with the balls super cute. I am making a table decoration for St Patty’s Day this year!!! I love holiday decor…its actually a problem of mine…like a major problem.. we have an unfinished basement…and its filled with holiday decor that i change out with each season….bad right?????? Here’s the theory…the longer i keep the basement filled with decor crap…the less money i have to spend finishing the basement?? Maybe????
Oh, how adorable are you?! This is beautiful! Love love xo
Thank you!!
I LOVE ALL OF IT….. Where did you get the wool felt ball for your rainbow garland? I love it, do you have a tutorial on how to?
Thanks, Colleen! I bought most of my felt balls on Pick Your Plum and etsy. To make a garland, use a large quilting needle and bakers twine. Stab the ball with the needle and then push through with a thimble or cutting mat. Repeat with more felt balls until you reach desired length :)
Oh my, I am loving your rainbow garland!!! Do you know what size the felt wool balls are? I see that you said you got some of them from Etsy. Do you remember which shop you got them from?
Hi! They are about 1″ in diameter. I don’t remember the name of the shop. There are a lot of felt ball shops on etsy as well as some on Amazon too.
