{good morning!} hope you all had a nice holiday! they sure go by quickly, don’t they?? well, today i’m showing you one of two crafts i made for the Cookie Swap party i hosted at my house last week. {more details and pics to come very soon!!} but i’m going to show off the pretty tiered serving tray i made.
the colors for my party swap were turquoise and red. {umm, love that color combo!!} so when i saw the square turquoise snowflake plates at Target, i had to have them.

i took 2 brass candle sticks from the thrift store {75 cents each} and spray painted them silver. then using E6000, i glued them between the 3 plates. so easy!!
*TIP: found out later that i did not have a good seal with the E6000 on the middle tray. blast! i think the spray paint was too thick. so be careful of that when you use E6000 on spray paint.*
so for a few dollars, i made this pretty serving dish. AND i saw these plates on Target’s after Christmas clearance. so you could make this dish stand for really cheap.
i really love this pedestal serving dish! the colors are perfect and the sparkly snowflakes….LOVE!!

I adore this!!! Sooo cute!
I’m not sure what it is, but I <3 items that nest ;)
Linda,
This tray is too cute and is exactly the kind of thing I want to have in my house. Unfortunately, I have no where to store anything like this and something this pretty neeeds to have just the kind of food on it that my family should NOT eat. Oh well. At least now I know how to make one and maybe can do this as a gift for someone next year. :(
The candle sticks turned out really nice with the silver paint.

Love! I just bought candle sticks to glue to mason jars to make hillbilly wine glass. Going back tonight for more candle sticks to make this serving tray.
Such a cute idea!
thanks, Tina!! those brass candlesticks sure are handy!

LOVE this! We went for a blue, white and silver color scheme for Christmas.
Very nice!! I’m always on the look out for cool candle sticks at the thrift store now, they are so much fun to use!

Love this! Think I’ll be doing trying it this holiday season!!!
What a great idea, will have to start watching the garage sales, rummage sales and thrift stores for pieces to make these with!
