Fawnda is here to show us how to make a photo plate.
Hello my name is Fawnda and I am a Craftaholic! I feet right a home at this blog!
I feel so honored to be on Linda’s Blog… isn’t she amazing?!?
Let me introduce myself! I am Fawnda from Fireflies and Jellybeans a little DIY blog with lots of fun crafty projects to try!
I am a mom to one son, who we adopted from Korea a little over a year ago. He is now 22 months and he brings such joy to my life. I am married to the most amazing man! I work part time as a high school math tutor.
I love all kinds of crafts: sewing, paper crafting, rehabs… you name it! I am totally addicted to the paper stacks! My hubby is about to do an intervention any day now!
Today I have a special project just for you! A wonderful Grandparent gift! An alternative to a framed photo.
A photo plate!
Here is what you will need:
A clear plate (They sell them at Target and Walmart)
Fabric – just a little bit bigger than you plate
A family photo printed out on paper
Mod Podge
A paint brush
Scissors (not pictured)
1.) Take the sticker off your plate. If you want to do the right, you will buy the plate with the stickiest sticker in the store just to give you the added challenge… at least that what I did! I ended up soaking my plate in warm water to get it off.
2. Make sure your photo will fit on the plate.
3. cut a piece of fabric in a square that is just a little bit bigger than your plate.
Tip: I found it was easier to work with the plate sitting on top of a cup.
