Renuzit Mini Room Makeover

Hi friends! Do you do any Spring Cleaning or a Spring Spruce Up? I sure do! And this year, this is what started my annual cleaning frenzy…. {please note that these pictures were taken with my phone}

dirty sofaARGH!!! Yes, that is my WHITE sofa and yes, those are the muddy foot prints of a mischievous 3 year old that lives here. {fortunately for him, it is a slip cover sofa, so i was able to throw it in the washing machine and wash off the mud and then put it back on} BUT that still doesn’t change the fact that my little guy was very very naughty.

This is what happened…..

Last weekend, we went to a home and garden show at a local nursery. I fell in love with these gorgeous flowering plants called, Camellia’s. They are absolutely gorgeous! So 5 of them got a ride home with us. I was excited to plant them Davis, G-man, and I planted 2 of the 5 plants. G-man was very eager to help dig in the mud and water the new plants. After we were done, I thought G-man was going in through the garage with Davis. But apparently, that wasn’t the case. He snuck in behind me through the front door and proceeded to happily jump on my white sofa with his muddy shoes on.

  You can imagine how happy I was to discover what he’d done.

Fortunately, with a little stain remover, the mud came right out in the washing machine. And everyone lived. haha. No, I actually think its hilarious…. now. Funny stories like this make the best memories, right?

But after this episode, I decided that my front room was the first on the list to get a little spruce up….. Because after washing the sofa slip cover, I was already half way done spring cleaning the room! To finish up, I headed to Walmart, Target, and TJ Maxx for a few accessories.

I picked up some air fresheners at Walmart, a couple picture frames at TJ Maxx.

I found this flower and vase combo at Target. I put some of the Renuzit air freshener gel beads in a votive next to the flowers.

renuzitI got this cute Renuzit #FreshAccents air freshener for my accent table. I think the green goes nicely with my turquoise and green front room. You can get coupons on Renuzit’s Facebook page. I put some scrap fabric from the throw pillows I made for my sofa, in the square picture frame. Love when I can find an excuse to use my scraps!

So that was my mini spring makeover for my front room. It now is cleaner {sans muddy foot prints}, smells lovely, and is a little prettier with a few new accessories.
