Pink and Gold Floral Christmas Tree

I got out of my comfort zone for this year’s Michaels Dream Tree Challenge! Not only did I use flowers, I used PINK flowers. I have NEVER decorated a Christmas tree with pink! Let alone, flowers. Until this year. And it turned out amazing! I was shocked at how it all came together so well. See what you think of my Pink + Gold Floral Christmas Tree!

GORGEOUS Pink + Gold Floral Christmas Tree :: Love the peonies!

This Christmas tree challenged me and I loved it. It is very feminine and pretty. Which makes me think this baby is a girl! {I am due any day now with baby #4.} I have always been a traditional kind of girl when it comes to Christmas trees. So I was totally surprised when I fell in love with the pink Christmas florals at Michaels this year.

When I went to Michaels to figure out what theme I was going to do for this year’s Dream Tree Challenge, I saw these GORGEOUS pink peonies {below} and I knew immediately I had to use them! The pink peonies were the inspiration for my tree this year.

Pink Christmas Peonies

Aren’t these pink peonies perfection?!! The beads and glitter dress them up and make them perfect for a Christmas tree.

I used two different pink floral stems on my Pink and Gold Floral Christmas tree.

Michaels sent me a 9 foot willow tree that I absolutely love. The shape is perfect. It’s more tall and skinny vs short and fat and I love it! And it has the coolest feature. The electrical is run down the center of the tree so you don’t have to dig around and find the dang plugs for each section to plug into each other. I simply assembled the 3 sections and plugged it in at the bottom and ta-da! The whole tree lit up. And for the record, I put this tree up while 8.5 months pregnant. It’s super easy to set up!

I balanced the soft, feminine flowers with some antlers picks. This was another item I was very iffy about. I wasn’t sure how they’d look on a Christmas tree. But oh my goodness, they look amazing! I love how they stick out and add some subtle masculinity to the tree.

I couldn’t come up with a good tree topper to fit this over-the-top Christmas tree, so I decided to use a Merry Christmas banner to be the focal point for my tree this year. I feel like it was the perfect cherry on top and no topper was needed. It’s a bare wood banner I found in the Christmas section at Michaels. I strung it with gold bakers twine, but you can’t really see the twine.

This tree reminded me of a time when I lived in a big farm house and I would put a Victorian tree up in one room and a traditional tree up in another room. I love your tree. We still buy a real one, but I have to admit, only to you though, that this easily assembled tall, skinny tree tempted me!

Beautiful. Several years ago one of my trees, actually our main Tree was done in pinks and mauve. I used different shades of ribbons pink, mauve, and wine all tried together in bows, had some mauve balls, white ornaments and mauve/pink poinsettias. Did it all on a shoe string budget. Used it for many years. My packages were all tied in pink and mauve bows. Still have a large box of pink and mauve bows and paper. I just told my husband I needed to do another pink Tree to use it up. So yes pink is okay.

Your pink & mauve tree sounds lovely! I have used Mauve and burgandys together in the past….actually when ‘single’ between marriages….therefore, didn’t have to worry about hurting any masculine feelings longer than just a few hours’ visit.

Hi Linda, I’m just seeing this amazing tree for the first time and would like to do something similar this year. Can you tell me where you got the antler decor?
