PartyLite Cookie Swap Party

This post brought to you by PartyLite Simple Pleasures Holiday Sweepstakes. All opinions are 100% mine.
Remember that Cookie Swap party i was talking about last month? Well, i am excited to show you the pics and tell you about the fun little get together i had at my house!
party ideas
This is the “party table” before the party started. the colors were red and turquoise. {love!!} I think fresh flowers are perfect for any party and the red roses {cheap ones from a big box store. ahem} gave the decorations an elegant feel.
party decor
I made a few things for this party; name tag tents for the cookies, peppermint serving trays, and Tiered Pedestal Platter.
ideas for party food
i placed turkey and swiss wraps on my Tiered Platter. No, I did not make them. if i had, they would not have been edible. like the Peanut Butter Blossom cookies i made for the Cookie Swap….which you will not get to see because half of them were burnt…..let’s just say, after the cookie swap, i think i still had the same amount of cookies that i started with….lol
snow candle
i LOVE these Iced Snowberry Snowball candles from PartyLite. they are so cute and smell fantastic! and they were fun to decorate with. {you can see the snowball candles featured on my January Mantel here} for the party, i put them on a handmade peppermint tray.
PartyLite’s new Winter/Spring 2012 Catalog is out and is full of new scents and products.

The Cookies
chewy chocolate toffee cookies
Sarah made delicious Oatmeal Chocolate Toffee Monster cookies. {they were amazing!}
reindeer sugar cookies
Andrea made the cutest Reindeer cookies and Mini Apple Pies. {so cute and so yummy!}
red and green sugar cookies
Cara made colorful Snickerdoodles and Peanut Butter Cookies. yummers!!
*no, my peanut butter cookies will NOT be making a blog appearance because as Andrea, Cara, and Latisha can attest, they were awful! {sigh}
Hosting a  PartyLite party was fun. PartyLite has lots of great tools online to help you plan your party and organize your guest list. i was able to send an e-invite to out-of-state family.
What I like about PartyLite Candles

  1. PartyLite candles are super high quality.
  2. PartyLite candles are made from Paraffin wax. so when they burn, its white smoke….which means these candles do not make your house dirty like cheap candles do. {awesome!!}
  3. If you spill PartyLite Candle wax on anything, all you need to do is let it cool and then place a piece of paper over the wax and run a warm iron over it. this will even take the wax out of carpet! {with kids around, this is very handy!}

My favorite part of the party was meeting Latisha and Andrea, two local crafters. i’m so glad they could make it!! several other gals had to cancel last minute…..we sure missed them!! but i do know how busy and crazy the holidays can be.
