Paper Craft ideas for Valentine’s Day {TUTORIALS!}

{happy happy friday!!} Are you ready for a great weekend? Here are a couple easy craft ideas for Valentine’s Day to help you spread the love!

Valentine’s Day Kisses

hershey kisses

So easy and so adorable! They would be perfect for a V-Day party, by your loved ones’ plate, or stashed in a fun stop for your Valentine to find. A simple way to say, “I love you!”

I simply placed mini glue dots on flat tooth picks and I stuck them to the back of a paper heart. Then I slid the toothpick into a Hershey’s kiss. too easy!

scrapbook paper

I used one of the new Lifestyle Crafts heart die cuts for the hearts. They have some awesome new valentine’s day die cuts and embossing folders. I used their new hearts die that cuts 8 hearts in one pass through the machine. So that makes these kisses super fast to make!

3-D Heart Banner

With that same hearts die as I used for the kisses, I made this festive 3D crepe paper heart banner.

How to Make a 3-D Heart Banner

supplies: crepe paper, scissors, sewing machine, thread, heart die cut, and die cut machine

  1. I used 3 different colors of crepe paper. Dollar stores are great to get cheap crepe paper in lots of colors.
  2. Cut 12″ strips of crepe paper and place over the die cut.
  3. I used 4 layers of crepe paper.
  4. Run through your die cut machine. {don’t forget that all Lifestyle Crafts dies are compatible with other die cut tools!}
  5. Keeping the 4 layers together for each heart, I sewed down the center of each heart to create a banner.
  6. Then fold the layers so that the hearts become 3-D.

Valentine Envelopes

ok, so you made the Valentine….now what to put it in? Well, you can make your own stylish envelopes!

Loving this basic envelope die! If you use 2 sided paper, your envelopes will be stylin inside AND out. seriously awesome!

New Releases

This is just a couple of the new dies that Lifestyle Crafts launched at CHA. They have lots of other great dies and folders that you’ll want to check out.
