Burlap Christmas Wreath
Looking for an easy Christmas wreath to make this year? Well, here is a great one for you! You can make this Christmas wreath in under one hour and is great for all crafting skill levels. Plus it costs only a few dollars per wreath to make! A perfect Christmas craft idea.
For this year’s Christmas wreath, I made a green burlap “Holly Berry” wreath….at least that’s what it looks like! {haha} But isn’t it so pretty? {yes, i couldn’t help myself. i had to make *yet another* burlap wreath.} Colored burlap is just too fun to play with! The texture is awesome. Although the mess burlap creates…. is not so awesome. oh well. {here are tips and tricks on how to cut burlap and how to reduce the messiness. Its a great post with lots of helpful tips! I would highly recommend reading it if you plan to make this wreath}
This wreath is similar to my Valentine’s Day wreath {you can find it here: Valentine’s Day Burlap wreath with Turotial}. I did a couple things differently though; I used a wire hanger and increased the burlap to 1.25 yards. I also cut each 3″ strip {using this Burlap Cutting Technique} to make this wreath.This wreath was so easy to make and looks stunning on a red front door! I get lots of compliments on it.
The red burlap flowers remind me of holly berries on my Christmas wreath. {click her for the Burlap flower tutorial} I made them a little bigger so the proportion was better for the wreath.
Want to see last year’s Christmas wreath? I’m a bit torn on which one to hang this year. I love them both! which one do you like better?

I say leave this one up until Christmas and then put last year's up until Valentine's Day! They are both adorable!

I'm with missbossypants, my monitor shows a grey/blue wreath with chartuse flowers. Either colour shows nice and burlap is so "now' isn't it?

Just found your blog–loving it! I made one of these in fall colors and mine is not as full as yours. I used the right amt of burlap, etc. Maybe my wire hanger was larger in circumference?

I made a red version last year, but I’m struggling with keeping the burlap from sliding down on the hanger. Did you have this problem? Is there something I can do to keep it from sliding down towards the bottom?
I love the green so much I may start over this year and do it in green!
This might be a stupid question, but did you dye your burlap? I love the way it looks and am thinking of doing a gray one with a pink/red flower for Valentines Day.

No, I did not dye burlap. You can get colored burlap from Joann’s {online and in store}. But you can also paint your burlap to get different colors.

HELP!! i made this exactly as the directions said but it keeps collapsing on itself and leaving gaps between the ruffles of burlap. your pictures are so cute and i want that on my door!! lol thanks in advance for the advice!
