Missy’s Craft Room TOUR! {guest blogger}

Missy is here today to show off her craft room. enjoy! -Linda
Hello everyone!  My name is Missy from the blog LookieWhatIDid and I’m so happy to be a guest here at Craftaholics Anonymous.  I have been following this blog for quite a while and I finally started my own blog a couple of months ago and have enjoyed it so much.
One of my most popular post and the most I get questions about is my craft room.  Most of the information is a repeat from my original post, but I have made a few modifications.  Sit back, enjoy and welcome to my craft room!
CRAFT ISLAND
This is the craft island my Dad built for me in my previous home about five years ago.  It is built in three parts so it is easy to remove.  We customized it to hold my 12″ x 12″ scrapbook paper.  It has 20 shelves and I try really hard to keep it color coordinated.  The two bar stools came from an estate sale and they were only $20.00.  They are the perfect fit under the island.  You can see the before and after pictures of the bar stools here.
The other side of the island holds a bin full of wrapping paper.
BOOKCASE

The bookcase was made at the same time the craft island was built.  Since it was a custom build, we were able to determine the exact size we needed to fit those big and bulky scrapbooks.  I also store books, my jewelry supplies and ready to make gifts in all of those baskets.
DESK

This is the newest addition to the room.  I have had a lot of request about the measurements of this desk and here they are:  97 1/2″ long; 36 1/2″ deep; 30 3/4″ tall.  We purchased 4 standard table legs from Lowe’s.  The table skirt is made from curtains found at Hobby Lobby.  I love the skirt around my table because it hides all the stuff under the table.
CURTAIN

This curtain is made from an old window pane I picked up in Warrenton, leftover fabric and binder clips!  Pretty simple huh.  I had just enough fabric left over to piece together this curtain.  I chose to hang the curtains with binders clips.  All I did was spray paint them black and added some bling!
SEWING TABLE
This table holds so many memories for me.  This was my grandmother’s table and I remember always playing with this table when I was a little girl.  I know this would make her so proud to know that I have it and use it.  I love that I was able to re purpose it.
PEG BOARDS
These pegboards were so easy to make.  I scored a deal at Hobby Lobby with two open stock frames for $9.00 each.  I spray painted them black and spent about $5.00 on peg board that I had the nice gentlemen at Lowe’s cut for me to fit inside each frame.  I painted them my Sherwin Williams “Nifty Turquoise” to match my room.
CRAFT DECOR ITEMS

Amazing table I found at Goodwill for $4.99!

I simply just wrapped some sating ribbon around a lamp I got at TJ Maxx.
My best friend made me an adorable stand for me….candlestick and cheese tray!
We all need a Memory Makers organizer..I need about 3 of these!
This is a lazy susan I found at an antique store in Arkansas.
Thank you so much for taking a look at my craft room.  I love that I have a place to retreat and create!  I also love that my Dad was a huge part in making this room what it is.
