Lemon Pull-Aparts {Guest Blogger: Creations by Kara}

Hello fellow Craftaholics! I’m Kara from Creations by Kara. I like all things creative; from re-finishing furniture to sewing, to cooking, I like to try it all! I have four boys, and after a six year wait, we just adopted our princess. So yes, now I am busting out ruffles, frills, and bows galore. :)

I met Linda (and her darling smiley baby boy) at Creative Estates last month and she is just as cute, fun, and friendly in person as she is online. I am thrilled to be here today on her awesome website! I am sharing a quick, easy, and yummy recipe with you today.

Something about lemons just says summer to me. And since summer is just around the corner (woohoo!), it is the perfect time to start breaking out the lemons. These lemon rolls start with frozen dough, so they are super simple to make. But don’t tell anyone, and they will never know. They look and taste like you slaved in a hot kitchen for hours. The lemon zest is what gives them amazing flavor, so don’t leave it out. These would be perfect for a summer brunch, or at a baby or bridal shower. They look just as good as they taste!

Lemon Pull-Aparts

Rolls:
12 Rhodes dinner rolls, thawed but still cold
zest of 1 lemon
1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbsp butter, melted
Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Cut rolls in half and place in a greased 9×13″ pan. Drizzle with the melted butter. Mix lemon zest and sugar together in a small bowl. Sprinkle HALF of the lemon sugar mixture over the rolls. Cover and let raise till doubled. Sprinkle remaining sugar mixture on top. Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes. Remove from pan. Combine glaze ingredients. Drizzle over rolls while still warm.

Thanks for stopping by Kara and sharing this YUMMY recipe! Congrats on the sweet baby girl! I’m so happy for you! -Linda
