Joon’s Craft Room

Hey guys!! My name is Joon from The Adventures of Ordy and Joon
I am a full time law student blogging for my sanity :)
I blog mostly about crafts/projects/DIY/redecorating and most importantly about my relationship with the cutest, sweetest boy in the world: Ordy. I LOVE designing on a budget and sharing ways to do so with friends and followers! I have a minor disorder and a major obsession. Come visit my side of Blogland whenever you need some good ol’ entertainment!
I’m so excited to guest post here today! I can’t wait to share my Office/Craftroom nitty-gritty details with you guys! It’s important to note that I live in a tiny town home {on a major student budget} so the key word for this remodel was: cheap REPURPOSE! I repurposed any and everything I could use.
The Business Side:
The Fun Side:
I knew a room I’d spend so much time in need to be personal, so here are some ways I expressed myself and personalized my space!
I see the art and beauty in day-to-day items, like these beautiful spools of thread. Immediately, I knew I wanted to “frame” them like art. This is one of my favorite parts of my wall, where art is functional!

I repurposed a cabinet from the local thrift store that was supposed to go in my bathroom, and turned it into a “catchall” station for everything small that needed a home. I stuck rolls of stickers on the towel rod and absolutely love the practicality of it!

The shelf stamp is another thrift store find that I spray painted to blend in with the silver wall stripe. I proudly display my stamps on it so I can readily see what I have when I want to use them, no more digging through boxes!

I bought these clear boxes from the Border’s store closing near my house and LOVE them! I can see what I have and be held accountable to stay organized. You’ll see where I used them again to store fabric swatches.
I love the unexpected use of apothecary jars as storage for my crafting supplies. Something about clear storage really makes me happy. I love seeing what I can use because for me “out of sight, out of mind” has been the motto for my craft supplies. One jar is full of scrapbook letters, another stamp ink pads and embossing powders, and the last- glue sticks!
Don’t forget small things that just make me smile… A framed picture of my dad and I, my last name initial, and a vintage scale.

Back to practical storage use! I used more of the clear boxes to store fabric. I’m not an avid sewer (heck, I don’t sew at all..) but I’m a sucker for cute fabric and buy lots of little scraps just for “one day”… I have all my knick-knack sewing gear on this shelf ready for when I do decide to start sewing!

Mason jars make GREAT {cute} storage! The one office wall is chalkboard paint, so I keep the chalk for it in one, along with some twill sewing labels (for when I start sewing…)

You can find more details on my blog, but these are some of the main ways I have utilized unexpected storage in my office/craft room! I encourage you to think outside the box (literally) and find ways to display your everyday items uniquely! Thanks for having me!

Hi! I'm Linda, the craft addict behind Craftaholics Anonymous®, a craft blog. Crafting is cheaper than therapy, right? When I'm not DIYing something, I can be found taxiing around our 4 crazy kids or working out. Or shoe shopping... because you can never have too many shoes! Happy crafting! ♥
